Carving the Path - main quest | Stone Sea Tyranny Guide

This chapter contains a full gameplay description of the location Jagged Maw Shrine(M31) and Stone Down Gorge that are connected with the quest Carving the Path. Here you will a walkthrough, as advantageous as possible, for this quest.

Jagged Maw Shrine
This mission is given by The Disfavored soldiers that you'll meet in Jagged Maw Shrine. This means that the quest The Tiers Will Shake is finished. Your next mission is to eliminate The Beasts in Stone Down Gorge. Go there to progress this quest.
Go to the Beasts camp
After entering the location you have to walk east where you'll shortly encounter a small squad of the Scarlet Chorus soldiers. Eliminate them and continue walking east. You will encounter another group of Chorus soldiers under the command of a warrior named Octave. He will ask you why you killed the previous squad. Shortly after that he'll recognize you and attack.
There's another group nearby that you have to defeat in order to clear this location. You'll find them if after the defeat of Octave's squad you used the stairs and went west. Your goal is to reach south-west area of this location. There, you can accomplish the quest's goals. To do this use the ruins of a house to reach the lower level of this location. In the west you'll find a bridge that leads to The Beasts' camp. If you want to get there peacefully all you have to do is to lie to the guards that you need to talk with their leader. It may be advantageous to you because when you speak to one of the Beasts you can receive the quest Divide and Conquer (check the chapter dedicated to that quest).
Eliminate the Trackers
Hundred-Blood, the leader of the tribe, can be found on the roof of one of the buildings in the north part of Stonestalkers tribe camp. Regardless of your choices during the conversation you'll have to use force in order to progress this quest. Remember that all of the Beasts that you met on your way here will become hostile. You have to move slowly if you don't want to attract attention and fight with all of the warriors; they're rather tough.
When you defeat all of the Trackers your journal will update and a new location, called Howling Rock, will appear on the map. Go there and talk with Radix to make progress in this quest.
Earthshakers' Ritual
After entering Howling Rock keep going south. Soon, you'll stumble upon the entrance to the Earthshakers' camp. When the conversation begins choose the first option - you'll show the mages the sign that you've learned earlier from Radix. Earthshakers will activate the portal and in that very moment Radix will appear.
Go near the Fort and talk with him about the ritual that he wants to make that will eliminate the Scarlet Chorus once and for all. He'll ask you to contact Graven Ashe to get his permission for the ritual. Choose whatever exit you want and go to Iron Hearth.
Ashe will ask you about your opinion on this ritual but, in the end, he won't give you his permission. After giving your report about your last activities, the mission will be complete and a new one called Securing The Sea will appear.
