First steps
Right from the beginning you'll need as many as three armies. First should march to the west, towards Cyrenaica that fights with you. Both Paraitonion and Ammonium are easy targets; in the first case you can even use the fleet stationing near Alexandria. Eventually you should conquer entire Libya and prepare for a possible invasion on Africa province.
The second army should move south towards Aethiopia and conquer regions there. Since the local factions have no strong allies, this area is a great place to expand your empire.
Third army will be temporary defensive, guarding your borders against Seleucid raid. You can leave it for now in Jerusalem; an attached Champion increases the effectiveness of troops, preparing them for upcoming battles. If you manage to make an alliance with Nabataea, you'll be able to expand together on the Arabian Peninsula. But if your neighbor refuses, I would suggest eliminating him which will open the way to Arabia Magna and Arabia Felix provinces.
Regardless of the chosen path, sooner or later you'll have to build a fleet. Each victory variant available for Egypt requires long overseas journeys. In case of military domination you'll spend most of the time fighting Middle East countries - prepare to face many light cavalry units - your camels will be extremely useful. Economic or cultural victory will push you towards Europe, where you'll clash with barbarian tribes - in this case your elite pikemen will be invaluable.
