Objectives and missions | Strategic map TW: Rome II Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

These are available under 6 key. You'll find here both side missions ordered by Senate and objectives needed to achieve final victory in the campaign. The most interesting however is the first tab, presenting next bonus objectives for your faction. Completing them is not mandatory but it makes it much easier to achieve final victory. You can find there both main objectives, as "Inveniam viam" shown below, involving conquering several dozens of settlements and side missions, where you have to fully control some provinces or have the right amount of legions or ships.

After completing various tasks, the Senate will give you certain amount of money, which greatly facilitates further expansion of the country, so you should try to please the Senate as it is possible. Of course, if those missions are not in line with your aspirations, you should completely ignore them - their completion is completely voluntary.

Completion of ordered objectives shouldnt overshadow the greater plan - Objectives and missions | Strategic map - Strategic map - Total War: Rome II Game Guide

Completion of ordered objectives shouldn't overshadow the greater plan. Of course, additional money is very useful at the beginning of the game, but spending 5 or 15 turns to get 2000 talent is completely unaffordable. Hence, such missions should rather be treated with a grain of salt: if it is possible to complete them, take the advantage of this, but if you have to change your current policy - ignore them.

Short-term objectives ordered by the Senate are much more useful. They not only provide short-term bonuses to all provinces, but also increase support by the Senate or tribal council. They are particularly important if you seek a civil war and you want to create an empire.
