This page of the Oddworld Soulstorm guide contains the first part of the walkthrough of Mission 4 - the Funicular. Our walkthrough informs where to find the five ingredients for the antidote, how to start the first generator in the mine, and how to craft the antidote.

Collect the first ingredient
Go right. Along the way, the protagonist will come across the first lockers . Other similar objects will contain, most of all, crafting components. Some of them will be useful to us in the next part of the level to craft first stun mines.
Ignore the blocked lower passageway (you can unlock it later) and perform a double jump to reach the area with the carriages. Abe will start meet the first sick Mudokons here. We can't help them right now. It will be necessary to collect five different crafting ingredients in order to produce an antidote. The following components are found in the order imposed by the authors.
The lower passageway is barricaded and unlocking it by restoring power will be our new priority. We're ignoring other sick Mudokons and a row of control panels on the upper platform. We continue to the right until we reach the entrance to the first mine.
We will find the first flares in the nearest locker. They can be very helpful in this mission to light up dark locations. It is best to always select flares from the drop-down menu (hold Triangle), so Abe will hold them in his hand instead of throwing them. Each flare has a limited operating time. Running out of flares does not mean traveling in total darkness, although visibility will be severely reduced and it will be more difficult for us, for example, to locate traps, obstacles or shelves to which you can jump.
Soon after you get the flares, Abe will be forced to squeeze through a narrow tunnel. It is here that we find the first ingredient for the antidote - Moongrass.
Collect the second ingredient
After reaching the new Story Stone, we can, as suggested by the game, test the use of chanting and Chi Orb to "scan" and illuminate dark locations. This is an additional help if we run out of flares, although using it will be completely optional.
We'll find new lockers downstairs, and new flares inside them. After we go to the left of the checkpoint, jump down to the nearest hole. It will not be a trap, it's just the first secret area with two lockers with loot.
Return to the top and take a few steps to the left. Here, Abe will find the second ingredient for the antidote - Paramold.
Find Phatoline in the mine and start the generator
Squeeze through a narrow tunnel. Jump over the second abyss, because according to the warning tag, falling into the abyss would mean the death of the protagonist.
We will reach the inactive Phatoline Generator. There's a simple puzzle to solve here. There are two shelves above the generator, as in the above picture. We start climbing here.
After reaching the top shelf, we can start using the monkey bars on the right side. In this way, we will reach the location of the Phatoline (the gasoline canister) and the Royal Jelly secret.
At this point, we can go back to the generator and refuel in order to start it. Doing this will activate the left elevator. We're using it to move to the upper level of the mine.
After reaching the top, we move to the right and exit the mine.
Collect the third ingredient
Starting the generator in the mine leads to unlocking the switch at the bottom passage (see the attached image). This is an area with several sick Mudokons, under the row of interactive terminals. We can press the button and when the gate goes up, we can go to the right.
We'll get to the new inactive elevator. There's an entrance to the second mine to the left of it. We need to start investigating it.
During the exploration of this mine and some of the subsequent missions, be wary of the sleeping creatures (as in the picture), which react to movement like Sligs. If they're awakened, then wait on another shelf until they return to sleep. If they're asleep, sneak past them. Don't try to rob them because it's not possible.
Mine exploration is fairly linear. Be wary of the chasm. After reaching the place from the picture, perform a double jump to reach the higher left shelf first. There's a Royal Jelly secret.
Keep in mind that there will be another sleeping monster along the way. We can use the bars dangling from the ceiling and use them to move to the left. Abe will eventually arrive at the new Phatoline Generator. Pressing the button will restore the power supply.
Just after the generator is switched on, the protagonist must step back and jump to the lower shelf. Here you'll come across the third ingredient for the antidote - Haggut Moss.
Here, your march comes to an end and you can get out of the second mine.
Collect the fourth ingredient
The elevator to the right of the mine entrance is now active. It can travel in two directions. For now, let's go straight up.
After reaching the higher level, pull the lever and start the sprint to the left. Abe has to run away from a moving object. During the escape, you must jump over obstacles and, in addition, at the end make a double jump to land on the shelf from the above picture and avoid the threat.
We head to the left until we reach the entrance to the third mine. There is another passage beneath it, but since you don't have the antidote yet, it is best to ignore it for now. The gate will close behind you, but getting through the mine should not cause you much trouble.
In the third mine, we follow a linear route. We'll find new flares in the lockers, and we'll go pass an inactive generator. We sneak past sleeping monsters, although alternatively we can direct them to the machinery. A little further down the path, we will find the fourth ingredient for the antidote - Sleech guano.
Collect the last ingredient
Further down the mine, we also need to use stealth to avoid sleeping monsters. Next to the checkpoint, you will find Phatoline (gasoline) and Royal Jelly secret. Once you obtain the canister, go back to the spot where you can switch on the generator.
We have to cross the mine again, but the road will be impeded by the working machinery. We can land on one of the machines, although we can also wait for the machines to move to another place and run when it is safe.
We're heading back to the area where the canister was located. Ultimately, we need to get to the panel to restore power. It will unlock the top passageway (next to the checkpoint). In the area, we will also find the last fifth ingredient for the antidote - Meetlebat Venom.
Craft the antidote to heal the sick Mudokons
We press Triangle to bring up the crafting window. Select the Antidote. If we've gathered all the ingredients correctly, Abe can now produce an antidote.
Important note: a single bottle of antidote is enough to pass the mission. We won't have to produce more of the antidote, and so we won't have to look again for the antidote ingredients.
