Oddworld Soulstorm: Badges Oddworld Soulstorm guide, walkthrough
Last update: 13 April 2021
This page of the Oddworld Soulstorm game guide explains the concept of Badges. We provide information about the badges that can be earned, how to fulfill their requirements and what is the point of collecting them.
Badges are optional challenges - various objectives that we can complete while playing a level. Each level in the game has a different set of badges. They can be previewed at any time by opening the pause menu. The game also displays badges on the level summary screen.
Badges can be earned by performing a variety of activities, such as finding secret areas, rescuing Mudokons, crafting items or destroying crates. The current badge progress is updated in real time.
Each badge has four ranks - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. In order to proceed to the next rank, we need to perform more of the same challenge-related activities. For example, saving 10 Mudokons will earn us the silver badge, but saving 20 of them unlocks the gold badge. The game displays an on-screen notification each time you reach a new badge rank.
Earning badges is necessary to achieve 100% mission completion. In addition, they are required to unlock 4 Gameplay master trophies. This means that, in order to earn the Platinum trophy in Oddworld Soulstorm, we have to complete 100% of the challenges, i.e. unlock all of the platinum badges.
