On this page of the Kena Bridge of Spirits guide, you will learn how to easily and quickly defeat the Wood Knight, the third boss in the game. You'll encounter him during the Taro's Fear main mission.

The fight against the Wood Knight starts off a bit differently than the previous bosses. Initially, you will need to fend off against some monkey opponents. You will spot the three enemies on three trees. You have to shoot them down, but keep in mind that the monkeys will also attack you and they can jump between the trees.

Consider purchasing the ability that slows down time while aiming with the bow - it will come in handy not only during this fight, but in future encounters, as well.

After defeating all the monkey opponents, the boss, Wood Knight, will finally appear. You have to watch out for one of his few attacks, namely the charge. The boss, despite being larger than you, is quite fast. If you move away from him, he will charge at you. When he nears you, he will attack with his weapon in a straight line. It's a good idea to dodge at the last second and then counter-attack.

What's characteristic of this boss are his weaknesses. You will see yellow and orange spots on his body. You should shoot them with the bow, because then you will get Courage, and on top of that you will deal a lot of damage to the boss. However, it's harder than it sounds, as the boss moves frequently. Therefore, we recommend using Rot to stun him. If you have trouble hitting the spots, use the ability to slow down time.

Keep using the bow through most of the fight. Stunning the Wood Knight is useful, but while Rot is dealing with the boss, he will wave his weapon around a few times. This makes it dangerous to approach him. Charging shots from a distance is a better way to deal damage to this boss.
