This page of the Kena Bridge of Spirits game guide explains how to easily and quickly defeat the Mask Maker, the next boss in the game. You will encounter him during the Mask Maker Path main mission.

The Mask Maker is an interesting opponent, mainly because of the large number of attacks at his disposal. He can pose quite a challenge before you learn how to counter his attacks.

Usually the first attack used by the boss consists of teleporting next to your character and quickly slashing at you with his sword. He will repeat this attack after a while, but the slash will be a bit more delayed. Dodge as soon as you notice that the boss is about to hack at you.

If you keep your distance from the Mask Maker, he may resort to creating a few orbs that will float above his head and shoulders. After a moment, he will launch them towards you at an incredible speed. To counter this attack, shoot the boss in the head with your bow. This will interrupt the charging of this attack.

The Mask Maker can also lock you in a barrier from which there is no way out. The only thing you can do is to shoot at the copies of the boss that appear.

These copies will materialise above you, at each barrier wall. There is no point in destroying them all, as your objective is to hit the real Mask Maker. You can tell the difference between a copy and the real boss by the crystal on the boss's forehead. The actual boss has a glowing crystal on his head, unlike the copies, which have nothing.

After hitting the true form of the boss, the Mask Maker will be stunned for an extended period of time, giving you the opportunity to freely attack him for a few seconds. It's a good idea to store up lots of Courage to get the most out of Rot.

From time to time, the boss also create some smaller enemies to aid him in battle. They aren't particularly difficult to defeat, but they will interfere while you're trying to attack your main target.

The Mask Maker's trump card is summoning a huge explosion. When you see a large barrier heading your way, Dash to penetrate it and negate the damage. This is the only way to avoid this attack, so it's a good idea to keep a fully charged shield.

The Mask Maker appears and disappears in various places from time to time. It's best to shoot at him using your bow. If you use Courage, you can charge a powerful bow shot to interrupt his teleportation.
