On this page of the Kena Bridge of Spirits guide, you will learn how to easily and quickly defeat the Vine Knight, the next boss in the game. You'll encounter him during the Adira's Love main quest, specifically the Rufus' Barn objective.

The fight against the Vine Knight starts slightly differently to other bosses. You'll have to defeat some regular enemies at first.

The opponents are diverse. Animated bombs will spawn on the right. In other areas you'll encounter ranged enemies and regular enemies. After defeating them, head to the right towards the running bombs. You need to cleanse the area they spawn from and use Pulse.

The Vine Knight focuses on defense and ranged attacks. It mainly defends itself from your attacks with its shield. It attacks with vines that can reach very far.

If you approach the Vine Knight, it'll attack two times, with the second blow being delayed. The attack has a long range, so be careful - you can get hurt even when keeping your distance.

If you're far away, the boss will cover itself with its shield. However, it can be provoked into a long-ranged attack in a straight line. You just need to wait it out, then dodge and shoot the boss' exposed body. There are three weak points on the boss. Slow down time to deal heavy damage with a single, precise shot.

You should mainly use Courage and summon Rot to stun the boss. It'll then stop hiding behind the shield, letting you attack it. Hit it in melee a few times before shooting the weak spot, as its recovers from the stun immediately when you do so.

If the boss stops moving, simply hiding behind its shield, try to get behind it. Do not attack it from the front, it'll block your attacks and counter, dealing significant damage.

The best strategy for this fight involves using Rot, stunning the boss, beating it with your staff for a short while and then shooting the weak spots. That way you can weaken its strongest attribute, its defense. If you're having troubles with avoiding the Vine Knight's attacks, try to stick close to it and attack from behind.
