On this page of the guide to Kena Bridge of Spirits you'll learn how to get through the next main mission, which serves as the continuation of the previous one. The quest Taro's Regret starts near the Forgotten Forest entrance.

The mission directs you to the Forgotten Forest's entrance, near a gate which couldn't be opened earlier.

The fastest way to get there is by using a Warp Stone and teleporting. Head to the gate where you'll encounter the next boss, Mage. The description of the boss fight is on a separate page of this guide.

After defeating the Mage, talk to Rusu. A conversation will begin, followed by a short cutscene in which the barrier is broken. This will let you progress further.

As you move on, you'll see a huge boulder on the right with three smaller rocks next to it. You can raise them. The first two stones summon enemies, but the third one rewards you with Rot.

On the left there's a hill you can climb. Do so and move on.

Moving a bit further, you'll see an object on the left you can interact with. It's worth to do so, as you'll activate a yellow spirit. Follow it to receive Taro's memory.

On the right you'll need to shoot crystals located on the trees. Each time you shoot a crystal, a blue aura will lead you to the next one, preventing you from getting lost.

After shooting three crystals, a Forest Tear will drop. Place it on a small flower to access the true Rot form.

You can now destroy the obstacles in your way. The main path leads to the corrupted forest. You should take a quick detour and destroy the obstacles on the left - they obstruct the way to a Meditation Spot, which increases your max HP.

Entering the depths of the corrupted forest, you'll encounter a few enemies. Defeat them, then shoot the crystal on one of the trees to create a Forest Tear.

Use it to create a true Rot form and destroy some more obstacles blocking your path. As you keep moving on and destroy obstacles, you'll bump into some more enemies. Defeat them and cleanse the forest.

You may want to backtrack for the true Rot form and use it to destroy an obstacle blocking your way to a cave. You'll find a shrine inside. Purify it to gain a large amount of gems.

Leave the cave. You should notice a dark chasm on the right. You must jump down. This path leads to the mission's completion.

Once you reach the very bottom, keep moving forward. Stand on the platform and use Pulse to open the door to the next boss Arena, where you'll face the Shrine Guardian. The description of the boss fight is on a separate page of this guide.
