On this page of the Kena Bridge of Spirits guide, you will learn what to do in the third mission, called Find Rusu. You will receive this quest after completing the Help Taro mission.
At the start, the Taro siblings will show you the way to Rusu. You will have to climb to the peak.
In order to do this, you must head to Rusu Mountain. Head towards the fallen tree.
When you reach the tree, jump on it and then continue on ahead. There you should find a lake and the Taro siblings.
Once you spot the siblings, turn left and you will see a passage past two tall trees. Head there to continue the mission.
You will find a corrupted area deep in the forest. Once you reach this area, you will be attacked by enemy units.
At the end, a stronger opponent capable of dealing lots of damage will appear. Be sure to get Rot's help if you can't manage to defeat them on your own. Rot damages to your opponent and stuns them for a while, giving you the opportunity to seriously damage them. Once the battle is over, cleanse the forest.
Before you go any further, go back and place the sculpture on the left, on the platform that glows blue. By doing so, you will receive a reward. Afterwards, head further up the mountain.
Along the way, while following the yellow ghost, you will discover a memory. Use Taro's Mask when you are close to the yellow card. This will unlock a cut-scene.
After the cut-scene, a Forest Tear will appear in place of the shrine. Use Rot's true form, then turn left and destroy the obstacles. At the very end of this path, you will find another sculpture that will reward you with currency. Once you get it, head back to the shrine. From there, go up the mountain.
Now you will mainly need to continue ahead and climb on the rocks.
After some climbing, near the precipice, you should notice another rock on your right with a tree on it. This is the rock that you need to jump on, then continue climbing on the stones ahead of you.
Not far from the waterfall, you will find more rocks to climb. The main road will lead to the left. Before you go there, however, it's worth heading to the right for a moment.
There you will find, among other things, an item required to complete a side quest. Once you get it, head to the left.
As you continue walking, you will see a broken bridge. In order to cross it, you will need to ask for Rot's help. Rot will tighten the rope so you can walk on the bridge for a while. Before you do that, however, head to the right of the bridge.
There you will find crystals and a cursed chest. Once you have collected everything, return to the bridge.
Run as fast as you can across the bridge to the other side. Keep an eye on the bridge, however, as it's cracked in some places and you will have to jump to get across.
You'll find a backpack to the left. Interact with it. Then follow the next ghost to get Taro's memory.
After the cut-scene, head to the left part of the forest. There you will be attacked by enemies. Upon winning the battle, cleanse the forest. Next, there will be a crystal on the right, which you need to move closer to the third crystal on the right.
Place it in the location from the screenshot, then return to the platform and use Pulse. This will open the passage in front of you.
Continue on, but watch out for the crevices. If it's too dark for you, light up the crystals with Pulse to see more. At the very end of the road, there is a large arena where you will fight Kappa, the second boss. The description of the boss fight is on a separate page of this guide.
After defeating Kappa, cleanse the area of corruption. Get to the top floor by climbing. You will find some rewards there. Next, head to the elevator. While on the platform, use Pulse to reach the top of the mountain.
Now there is nothing left to do but follow the Taro siblings, who will lead you to Rusu, allowing you to complete the mission.
