First expansion for Dredge was very short and you may have concerns - whether The Iron Rig is a more extensive extension? On this page of our guide we have included information about the length of the DLC - separate sub-items concern dealing with the new quests of the DLC, as well as expanding the platform and catching all the new species of fish.
Story
- New missions from The Iron Rig expansion have already been described on a separate page of our guide, titled DLC Quests. It should take you about 4 hours to complete them all. This means that The Iron Rig DLC is approximately 2 times longer than the previous expansion - The Pale Reach.
- Most missions are relatively easy. The exception is the very extensive quest called Strange Specimens. Among other things, it forces you to catch 20 new species of fish associated with the second DLC. Obtaining the right rods and reaching the optimal fishing spots can be quite time-consuming.
Platform expansion and optional activities
- One of the most important optional activities in the game is the expansion of the drilling platform. - you can spend Ironhaven Chests to unlock their higher levels and new functions.
- In The Iron Rig DLC there is no new archipelago. Instead, we return to old locations to visit contaminated areas and new fishing spots. In addition, there are dozens of new species of fish to catch and, traditionally, exotic fish and aberrations can be problematic.
- Completing all the additional activities offered by the add-on will take another 3-4 hours of gameplay, so you should be able to complete the entire DLC in 100% in about 7-8 hours.
