The Pale Reach is a DLC for Dredge. On this page, you will find information on how to purchase, install and unlock the DLC, how to start the campaign associated with the new location and whether you need to finish Dredge's basic campaign first.

Purchasing and installing the DLC

1. The Pale Reach is a story DLC for Dredge. It expands the basic campaign with the titular new region, adding new adventures and quests, new locations to explore, new threats, new species of fish to catch and new unique secrets and collectibles.
2. Pale Reach is a paid DLC. The price of the DLC is €5.99/$5.99 and it is available on all platforms, i.e. PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Switch. You can find the DLC in the digital store on a given platform or select the Add-Ons option in the game's main menu.
3. The purchased add-on must also be installed and, depending on the platform, this may be automatic or require manual download of the DLC. Make sure that the game shows the correct installation path for the DLC in the content management options (example for PS5 in the image).

How to reach the new region from the Pale Reach DLC?

1. When you launch Dredge with the Pale Reach DLC purchased, you will not receive any special notification about new content. You have to look for it yourself on the world map.
2. After opening the map screen, a red circle with a question mark will appear in the southern part of the world map - it is shown in the image above and this is where you must sail.
3. You can start the DLC at any time in the basic campaign. There is no need to start a new game. You can load any save from your previous playthrough.

1. In the northern part of the new ice-covered region, you will find the Bleak Pontoon location, where you can moor your boat.

1. In the new location you will talk to the Traveling Merchant. By exploring the Icy Worksite, you will start the first quest associated with the Pale Reach DLC - Icebreaker, which involves building the titular icebreaker.
