Preparing for catching a crab

1. You will receive the Strange Specimens Pursuit from the Scientist from the Science Lab on the rig. The first part of the quest concerns catching 4 species of fish from the Marrows and Sea Cucumber is one of them. It is the most problematic one to obtain.
2. You have to use a trap instead of one of the fishing rods and you need to stock up on at least one. It can even be its simplest variation - Basic Crab Pot. Visit one of the in-game shops or use a previously used trap.

1. The fishing spot is the Marrows, the central region. While there, find the black spots (examples marked in the screenshot) - these are areas that got contaminated as a consequence of starting the drill on the rig.

How to catch the Sea Cucumber species?

1. Swim into areas with dark, thick liquid. Select scattering crab traps from the drop-down menu. The more of them you deploy, the greater your chances of completing the pursuit objective quickly.

1. Return to the traps after a while (e.g. the next day) and check them out. If they were scattered in the correct region (the Marrows), one of the cages should eventually contain a Sea Cucumber. You can take it back to the Scientist and move the specimen to the left slot in the Science Lab window.
