Unlocking the task

The quest in question can be picked up starting from day 3 i.e. after unlocking access to western Martinaise.

Go north-west as far as the map lets you. North of the Feld building there is a boardwalk and a body is found at its end (screenshot).

Examining the corpse

During examination, you'll find a library card. You can look at it in the inventory to determine the identity of the man and additionally, there is a library telephone number at the back of it. If you've previously initiated the Find Working Class Husband side quest, you'll find out that this is the missing husband.

After completing the examination, you can take the case (the investigation continues - better choice) or leave it to the police (this variant concludes the task after the corpse is reported over the radio).

Calling the station

The next phase of the task happens at Kim's car (as a reminder - it is parked south of Whirling-in-Rags hostel). You can use the radio to report the found body.

Calling Jamrock's Public Library

Don't leave the radio window yet. If you've examined the library card closely and found the telephone number, you can telephone the library to get the identity of the deceased and information regarding his place of residence.

The library is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and you have to make the call during those hours.

Reaching Billie Mejean's apartment

Time to travel to the northern apartment building - the Capeside apartment building. Billie Mejean can be found in apartment 20. To get there, you need to enter the eastern balcony and go all the way east to find the door you're looking for.

Knock on the door - you'll be let in - and talk to Billie - Working Class Woman. To get the most out of the conversation, you need to complete an Empathy skill check (if needed, equip items that increase the level of this skill temporarily). Failing to show empathy may result in you losing 1 health point and as many as 2 morale points.

After you break the bad news, leave the apartment and talk to Kim. The investigation will be concluded, with you receiving 15XP as a reward.
