Basics | Crafting AC: Syndicate Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
In AC: Syndicate you may not only find items in chests and during missions but also create them. You may craft your equipment wherever you are however you are going to need some resources like money, materials or schematics. You may equip your items and check the items necessary to craft (in the menu Crafting) whenever you want.
Common Materials
They are used for most item upgrades and are divided into basic (Leather and Metal, may be found in chests more often thanks to Scavenger I skill) and rare (Chemicals and Silk, related to Scavenger II skill). You may find them in the entire London and receive them for the income missions.
Warning: They are also necessary for the gang upgrades.
Unique Materials
Some of the better items require you to use a specific material which may be found only in a chest (Lockpicking I required) or as a mission reward. You may use them to create only one specific.
Schematics
Some items require a schematic which may be found in chests or received for completing missions or for having a good reputation among your allies. Without a right schematic an item cannot be crafted.
Upgrades
Tools, such as smoke bombs or throwing knives may be upgraded. It will increase their damage and the maximum amount which you may take with you on missions. Also some weapons and other pieces of equipment may be upgraded what will increase their power.
Gathering crafting materials
At the beginning of the game you may focus on developing your ecosystem skills to increase the amount of resources found in the early phases of the game. It will allow you to make some upgrades even during the first couple hours of playing.
When you will start the 4th Sequence it will be the best and only option since you may have much better income from completing the income missions. Cargo hijacking, attacking the boats or trains after few tries will not be too difficult and you will be able to play through them fairly quickly. It will provide you a lot of essential resources.
