Run towards the carriage.

Run to the Templar's carriage during the first phase of the mission. You will have a limited amount of time, but it should be enough. Hide in the carriage and wait for it to drive you to the factory.

Shoot the chests with the explosive when the Templars will get close.

Once you get to the destination, start destroying the chests with the nitroglycerine. The easiest way will be shooting at them, preferably when an enemy is nearby. You will find few places in which you must destroy such chests on the territory of the factory. Usually there is an enemy nearby, so eliminating them shouldn't be troublesome.

You can always throw the chest with explosives at moving enemies.

If you will allow the enemies to see you, they will leave the places "assigned" to them. In that case, you can complete the side objective by finding other chests (the ones that you don't need to destroy) and throwing them at enemy's heads. Go back to Marx after you complete the mission.

Challenges

Kill the Templars with the nitroglycerine (5) - shoot the chests when the enemies will be close to them or throw them at the ground next to the enemies. Notice that the objective is related to Templars - not all your enemies count.
