Indiana Jones Great Circle: The Fountain of Confession puzzle

In the final part of your visit to the Vatican in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle you will have to solve, e.g. the Fountain of Confession puzzle, which consists of 3 parts. This guide page tells you when you can solve the puzzle, how to open the building with the fountain, how to assemble and place 2 dragon statues, how to rotate the fountain mechanism, and how to solve smaller puzzles - the baptism puzzle and the ark and boat puzzle.

How to unlock the Fountain of Confession puzzle?

1. The Fountain of Confession is a location located in the western part of the Vatican. You can get there right after unlocking the Vatican City map, but initially you can't do anything there. You must advance enough in The Stolen Cat Mummy main quest and receive a mission objective to examine the fountain.

How to place 2 dragon statues?

1. The fountain puzzle consists of a total of 3 main parts and the first one is the arrangement of 2 dragon statues located above the fountain.
2. Start by going to the left of the fountain. The chest in the picture contains the Fountain Gate Key. The gate this key opens is nearby - open it.

1. Go inside and climb to the upper level using the whip. Turn 180 degrees and use the whip on the top bar shown the picture. You will get to the balcony above the fountain.

1. Jump over the railing to land on the scaffolding you passed earlier on the lower level. In this place you will find the Dragon Claw shown in the picture.
2. Taking the Dragon Claw will trigger a cut-scene during which Gina will appear. From now on, the pair of heroes will work together to get to the area under the fountain.

1. Repeat the steps to reach the upper balcony again. Place the Dragon Claw on the left Dragon Statue, then rotate the claw.

1. A rod will come out of the statue - you can rotate it. Turn the left statue towards the right one visible in the distance.
2. Use the whip to get to the other side and repeat the steps with the second statue - interact with the Dragon Claw, rotate it, grab the extended rod and rotate the right statue towards the left one.

1. Both statues must be looking at each other, which will cause the statue at the fountain to rotate. Return down to join Gina. Find the interactive hook shown in the picture and grab it with the whip.
2. The entire element behind the fountain will rotate for the first time - you have completed the first part of the puzzle.

How to solve the baptism puzzle?

1. In the second and third parts of the puzzle you will be dealing with a large rotating mechanism. You can optionally take new photos or just focus on unlocking the passage.
2. Start by grabbing the large bar in front of the fountain (image above). Indy and Gina will cause the mechanism to turn, which will cause a wall with a baptism puzzle to appear.

In front of you is a wall with several interactive elements:

1. Move the left object (1 in our image) to the right.
2. Use the whip to grab the top hook (2 in our picture).
3. Once filled with water, move the right object (3 in our picture) left.

The water will flow into the left object and you will complete the puzzle - the whole mechanism will start rotating again.

How to complete the ark and boat puzzle?

Grab the bar in front of the fountain again. This will cause a puzzle with an ark and a boat to appear before you. The most important elements of this puzzle are:

1. Boat starting point (1 in our picture).
2. The boat's destination (2 in our picture).
3. 3 interactive buttons (3 in our picture). Thanks to them you can rotate the central parts of the mechanism.
4. Interactive grapple points (4 in our picture). The right one is more important - by grabbing it with the whip you can force the boat to move to the right.

1. The 3 interactive buttons are key - use them to create a connection between the left and right parts of the puzzle (image above). You can then use the whip to propel the boat forward and make it reach the right end of the board.
2. Additional note - the boat does not have to cover the entire distance in one go. You can first bring it to the center of the board, rotate the interactive elements again, and then make the boat reach its destination.

Unlocking the descent to the underground

1. After completing the ark puzzle, use the large pole in front of the fountain one last time. Then go to the central statue (image above) and start pushing it.
2. This will unlock the stairs to the underground at the Fountain of Confession.
