Indiana Jones Great Circle: The Canopic Jars puzzle (Seat of Eternity)

Placing the canopic jars on pedestals around the sarcophagus is a puzzle that is part of the quest Seat of Eternity in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This guide page explains how to unlock the mystery in Giza, how to reach all the canopic jars, how to arrange them correctly and what treasure the sarcophagus hides.

How to unlock the Seat of Eternity mystery?

1. Visit the northern part of Giza to unlock the Seat of Eternity mystery and to solve the related puzzle. In the place in the pictures above there is one of several descents to the underground tomb. Choose a descent that does not involve a large jump and does not pose a risk to your health. Also watch out for wild dogs in the area.

1. Reach the room with the sarcophagus. A a tomb journal lies next to it - picking it up will unlock the mystery.
2. Your task is to find and deliver 4 canopic jars. You must then place the canopic jars on the pedestals in the appropriate sequence - we have described this further down the page.

Where are the 4 canopic jars?

1. 2 out of the 4 canopic jars are in the same room - you can find the falcon canopic jar and the human canopic jar.
2. To locate the next 2 objects, examine the adjacent corridor - in the place shown in the picture you can use the whip on the pole to jump over the abyss.

1. In the new area you will find the jackal's canopic jar shown the image above.
2. Pick up the jar and return with it to the place where you used the whip. Throw the canopic jar over the abyss. You can now use the whip and finish carrying the jar to the tomb room.

1. The final fourth jar is also on the other side of the abyss. It is hidden behind the weakened wall shown in the image. Find the two-handed weapon in the tomb, throw it over the chasm, use the whip, pick up the weapon and use it to break through the wall.
2. In the new area there is a baboon canopic jar - you will need to throw it over the chasm. Carry it to the room with the sarcophagus.

How to properly set up canopic jars?

1. Stand at the entrance to the room and place the canopic jars starting from the left pedestal. If necessary, you can compare the canopic jars with the paintings on the wall behind the pedestal.

The correct order is:

1. Human Canopic Jar - first from the left;

1. Falcon Canopic Jar - second from the left;

1. Jackal Canopic Jar - third from the left;

1. Baboon Canopic Jar - fourth from the left.

Rewards for completing the puzzle

1. Correctly placing the canopic jars should open the sarcophagus and you will find an ancient relic inside (1 out of 15 in Giza). In addition, you will receive 225 Adventure Points.
