Indiana Jones Great Circle: Are there lockpicks and how to open locked doors
On this page of our guide, we explain if lockpicks are available in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and how to open padlocks.
Can you use lockpicks in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? On this page of the guide, we present a list of techniques for opening locked passages. These include keys, choosing alternative passages, and asking Gina to use her skills.
Finding and using keys
- Indy doesn't use lockpicks during the game. You must rely on other techniques to unlock closed passages.
- Locked doors or gates are what you're going to encounter most often. When you approach them, the game will always inform you which key is needed.
- You can receive keys from other characters while completing quests or find them in the game world (example in the screenshot).
- A single key can be used to open more than one passage, e.g. several different doors within the same location.
Locked passages alternatives
- When you try to force the door open, you may also find it is barricaded or needs to be opened from the other side. In both cases, you need to look for an alternative path. Once you reach the door on the other side, open the lock or destroy the boards. This will create a permanent shortcut.
How to open padlocks?
- Padlocks are unique objects, which appear primarily on chests. In this case, you'll have to use brute force: get some good melee weapon and hit the padlock to destroy it.
Gina's help
- Later in the game, you'll start to travel together with Gina. Indy's companion can assist you in opening some passages. After attempting to open the passage, Gina can approach the door on her own and use her own tricks to open the lock.
