Indiana Jones Great Circle: The Gold Mask puzzle (Sanctuary of the Guardians)

During the Sanctuary of the Guardians quest in Giza you must complete the puzzle of unlocking the pedestal with the gold mask. Our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle guide discusses all the steps in detail - you will learn where the chamber with the gold mask is, how to set up mirrors and reflect light, and also how to release and photograph the gold mask.

Reaching the chamber with the gold mask

1. You reach the location with the Gold Mask puzzle during the Sanctuary of the Guardians fieldwork - Indy and Gina will eventually reach the sanctuary hidden under the Sphinx in Giza.
2. You can take a photo of the gold mask - you will learn that it is stored in a pedestal. You need to solve a puzzle to remove the lock.

Mirror puzzle, how to reflect light?

1. There are two mirrors behind the gold mask on which rays of light fall. Reach the mirrors in any order - you can interact with them and rotate.
2. Aim the beams at 2 other mirrors from the darker part of the room, i.e. from the area you came from. We have shown this in the attached images.

1. Go to the next 2 mirrors and manipulate them. The goal is to have the rays reach the metal disks at the base of the structure with the pedestal and the gold mask.
2. The correct mirror positioning is shown in the images above - remember to always choose the metal disc on the opposite side, not the one directly in front of the mirror.

1. Illuminating the 2 metal discs should remove the lock from the gold mask. You can grab it now and take a photo of Gina holding the mask. You will advance to the next location.
