Quest rewards
The only reward for completing this quest is a sizeable bonus to your Legend (XP). However, the quest itself is important story-wise, because it unlocks all sorts of visions that will stay with you for a long time.
Reach Fort Sakai
You will unlock this quest as soon as you arrive on Iki Island, but first you should complete the tale A Lost Friend to get your horse back, allowing you to reach Fort Sakai much easier.
There is one mountain trail leading to the fort, which can be identified by encountering civilians fleeing from the Mongols along the way. Help them and begin the fight. Remember to dispose of the shaman quickly. Where possible, protect those civilians with skulls appearing above their heads. It's a warning that their lives are in danger, but fortunately you will have plenty of time to react.
Fort Sakai is a location captured by the Mongols. Your task is to reach the gate leading to its inner courtyard. Along the way, you can attack from hiding or take part in open battles - in both cases, always focus on killing the shamans at the very beginning of each encounter.
Beware of archers, which you can attempt to eliminate from long range (especially if you have a long bow).
You can also take advantage of Jin's various gadgets and abilities and use the grappling hook to bypass the guarded bridge.
Jin must reach the gate from the screenshot. When it opens, you will encounter the Mongols and a standoff will begin. It will be interrupted, so you don't have to prepare for it. Jin will be captured by the Mongols and a long cut-scene involving the Eagle (the main antagonist of this DLC) will play.
Recover your equipment
You will regain control of Jin in a tent outside the fort. Once you have listened to the conversation with Yuna, open the big chest containing Jin's missing equipment. Your character will automatically re-equip it.
Follow Yuna to reach safety
You must follow Yuna. Get to the gate, which you will need to open together. In the next location, you must reach the huge pit and you shouldn't encounter any new opponents in this area. If there are any Mongols in this area, then you can, for example, sneak over their heads.
You will witness the first of many visions. It doesn't contain any interactive elements - you just have to follow a predetermined path as a young Jin and watch various scenes along the way.
At the end of this section, you will meet Tenzo and you will witness a conversation at the campground. A new quest will be unlocked - A Raider's Return.
