You will need to visit these places to explore Iki island in 100%.
On thee Iki Island map - activities, you will find a world atlas map with other types of optional locations (e.g. archery challenges and sanctuaries).
Important locations on Iki Island

The important locations marked on the Iki Island map can be divided into two main groups:
1) Safe locations - These are, e.g. various villages or hideouts of friendly factions. There you can meet allied characters and be able to start the main and side missions. There are two things to note here:
- Initially, Fort Sakai is occupied by the Mongols. However, after recapturing it during a certain quest, it will become one of your main outposts.
- The locations of the dye merchant and the woman who collects the Sakai banners (one of the types of collectibles) will be unlocked only after making enough progress and doing the Hidden Cove Bokken Tournament.

2) Hostile locations - These places are under the Mongols control. You can capture them. You do that by eliminating all the Mongols stationing there. You can do this stealthily, or by fighting everyone. Some enemy locations may also have optional targets, e.g. scare several enemies. They are not mandatory, but doing them will grant you additional rewards.
As in the main campaign, you can retake locations, i.e. reset them. This can help you, for example, if you plan to do their additional objectives or want to get trophies related to combat or stealth.
Memories

In several places on the map of Iki island, you can find starting points of memories from the teenage years of the main character. These are short and very linear scenes - their goal is to better understand the main character's father and the events that occurred in the past on Iki island.
Shrines

The shrines are important locations in the game - each of them is associated with unique rewards. To get them, you may have to solve a puzzle or go through a location. We have described all the shrines in detail on separate pages of the guide:
Hot Springs and Pillars of Honor

Their assumptions have not changed from the basic campaign of Ghost of Tsushima:
In hot springs, you can reflect on any chosen topics and, above all, increase the hero's health bar.

Thanks to Pillars of Honor, you can find new sets for decorating your swords(Sword Kit) - they only change the appearance, not the weapon's stats.
