This page of the Ghost of Tsushima game guide contains the walkthrough of the battle against Take on Iki Island. This is one of the opponents you will need to defeat during The Hidden Cove Tournament. Our guide describes the unique attacks used by Take and how to effectively damage and defeat this boss.
Note - The recommended ways to prepare for this and other fights against the opponents from the arena are described on a separate page: Unlocking the tournament and rewards. It's especially recommended to acquire, upgrade and equip the Sarugami armor, which will make it easier for you to parry and dodge perfectly.
Take is a participant in The Hidden Bay Tournament and one of the 4 characters you will need to defeat. You need to find her near the battle arena and talk to her to challenge her to a fight.
As in all other battles, you can win by hitting Take 5 times with a wooden weapon before she does the same.
Take will be a difficult character to defeat, because she uses two different types of attacks over the course of the whole battle.
This opponent will use her first set of attacks until she takes a total of 3 hits. The woman initially uses standard weapon attacks.
The best way to deal with Take's regular attacks is to parry. If you're wearing the Sarugami armor, make sure to always parry perfectly. Otherwise, you can also try regular parrying, although there is a good chance that Take won't be so easy to hit.
Take will start using her second set of attacks once you have hit her 3 times. From that moment on, Take stops trying to attack Jin and instead she waits for you to attack first. Try to hit her twice in a short amount of time to get her to react.
Take will respond with a blue attack, which is quite difficult to dodge. It's a good idea to jump back for a moment to watch this attack unfold - Take quickly jumps aside, preparing to unleash the blue attack proper. Only then will you need to parry or dodge. Of course, we recommend perfect parrying in order to have a great opportunity for a counterattack that cannot be blocked by Take.
You must stop the aforementioned attack twice to deal the 4th and 5th point of damage to Take and win the fight.
