Meet Sugi by the old fishing village
You will be able to start this tale once you have completed the Troubled Waters side quest, which is the first quest Sugi ever appeared in.
This time, you will need to meet up with the woman in the fishing village located in the western part of Iki Island. However, don't rush to reach the quest's starting point, because you will encounter a group of bandits there.
Free the captive
You can deal with this situation in any way. However, it would be a good idea to stealthily eliminate at least one enemy - the opponent watching the area from the rocks. This can make it easier for you to attack the other enemies at a distance, for example, by using a long bow or darts. Try to eliminate the local shaman in this way.
After securing the area, approach the imprisoned villager to free her and listen to her talk. Sugi will also appear and you need to talk to her, too.
Defeat Yamaneko's lookouts
Scouts are occupying the surrounding rocks and your best bet to reach them is from behind by climbing on the rocks. Seek out opportunities to attack them by surprise or dispose of them in direct combat.
Once you have eliminated the enemies, sit by the fire and wait for nightfall.
Survey the camp
Before you act, you need to survey the area. There are several interactive locations to find:
- lower left campground
- small hill with a campfire
- bonfire visible on the rocks in the distance
Signal Sugi's hwacha
Your task is to reach the three bonfires in this location - each of them is marked on the map of the area.
It is very advisable to use stealth to bypass opponents, backstab them or eliminate them at a distance by shooting arrows from a long bow. Concentrate first on reaching the nearest lower campsite. Kill 1 enemy from behind and interact with the fire.
Each time this happens, the nearby area will be bombarded and it will lead to a fight between the Mongols and the Yamaneko. If possible, don't let the enemies notice you to avoid becoming the target of their attacks. If necessary, you can move away from the enemies or hide in the tall grass. Focused hearing can also help you keep track of your opponents.
In the case of the second bonfire, it is advisable to get rid of the archer standing next to with ranged weapons before you head to the location. Simply climb up the vertical rock wall to reach it. Interacting with the bonfire will send out more signals and there will be another bombardment.
The third and final bonfire is on the right side and you don't have to climb down the rocks to get to it. On the way to this campfire, it's also a good idea to use the bow. You also need to jump towards the interactive hook and use the grappling hook to attach yourself to it in mid-flight.
Defeat the Mongols and Yamaneko's crew
Your last objective during this quest is to get rid of those opponents who didn't die due to the bombardments or the resulting fights. Dispose of them as you will, for example, use the bow to shoot them from a vantage point or climb down and try to quietly assassinate them or engage in direct fights.
Regroup with Sugi
After winning the battle, reach the marked location - it will be a kindled bonfire by the water. Examine the headgear (Sugi's Kasa Hat) lying next to the fire. You'll find out what most likely happened to Sugi. According to the item description, you may decide to return to the village from the northeastern part of the island to find Sugi's husband and deliver the item to him.
