Meet Tenzo to attack the Mongol warship
You can follow this tale once you have completed the quest called A Raiders Return. Proceed to the rendezvous point with Tenzo. When you reach the raiders camp, you will find him finishing off one of the Mongol warriors.
Follow Tenzo to the shore
After the time of day changes and night comes, follow Tenzo's trail. Be prepared to encounter a group of Mongols along the way. Fighting them shouldn't be too problematic, because your allies - other raiders - will also participate in the fight. Start by defeating the most problematic enemies (shamans!) and seek out opportunities to backstab the Mongols who are busy fighting other people.
Defeat the Mongol cannoneers
Once the battle is over, head to the shore. It will be necessary to eliminate the cannoneers operating the cannons shelling the beach.
Don't head straight towards the ship targeting your allies. Instead, run to the right. You'll find an alternate path to the quest objective.
The path here is linear, although it involves some climbing, rope-running and using the grappling hook. Additionally, in the location from the screenshot, you will need to use the grappling hook to catch and turn the hanging cargo. This will allow you to jump to it and continue forward. Your main goal is to get behind the positions occupied by the Mongols.
Once you get close to your opponents, begin to sneak.. It's a much better idea to attack and eliminate opponents from stealth. Otherwise, you might get simultaneously attacked by all the nearby enemies, making it more difficult to eliminate them.
In addition to silent assassinations (chained ones, as well), you can of course use weapons such as poisoned darts, arrows and kunai knives. You don't have to hurry to complete the quest objective, so you can quietly dispose of each enemy and even lure them away one by one.
The main quest objective is to defeat all of the nearby Mongols, not just those on the ship. If you're having trouble progressing the quest, activate Focused Hearing by pressing the touch pad button to highlight your enemies. Make sure to investigate your surroundings, such as the nearby hill.
After clearing the area, a cut-scene will play in which you will reach the enemy warship.
Find the warship's black powder cache
The game won't let you use stealth and you will need to fight in the open. The first battle will take place aboard the ship you used to approach the enemy warship. Again, take the opportunity to easily dispose of the enemies busy fighting against your allies.
Once the fights are over, run along the planks and board the Mongol ship.
Start another fight against the Mongols. The entrance to the deck will be barricaded, so go up one of the ladders, run along the highest part of the deck and use the back entrance..
Ignite the warship's black powder
First you have to deal with the last group of Mongols and, as in previous battles, you can count on the support of other raiders.
When you get close to the black powder cache, set it on fire by pressing the R2 trigger and then start running towards the planks connecting the two ships. Once you have returned to your ship, cut-scenes will play and conclude this quest, including one showing the destruction of the Mongol ship. When you return to Fune's Refuge, you will unlock a new main quest: Like Lightning in the Storm.
