Yuffie and Sonon have reached Materia Research Facility room, but they were unable to find Ultimate Materia and need to continue their search.
Testing Grounds
Scarlet prepared another trial and brought you to a place where Shinra tests its weapons. In the course of this stage, you'll have to take part in a few fights. You decide upon the opponents by throwing a shuriken at the chosen hologram.
Before you start the challenge, regenerate HP/MP and resupply at the Vending Machine.
First trial
- Left hologram: Two Mark II Moondrive units - its hard to induce Staggered status on them. The green aura makes Mark II Moondrive resistant to magic, while shield protects them from physical attacks. The key to success in this fight is using the right attacks, when the enemy is susceptible to them;
- Right hologram: Two Sweepers, vulnerable to Lightning (Thunder/Thundara spells).
Second trial
- Left hologram: Two Blast-Rays, vulnerable to Lightning (Thunder/Thundara spells). Blast-Rays attacks can stun your heroes, and when they are Staggered, they hide behind a barrier protecting them from melee attacks;
- Right hologram: a single Cutter, vulnerable to Lightning (Thunder/Thundara spells). After inducing Staggered, you can finish it up with melee attacks.
Third trial
- Left hologram: six Moondrives who are a weaker version of Mark II Moondrive. The enemies can use fire magic and are vulnerable to Wind (Aero spell);
- Right Hologram: four Slug-Rays, vulnerable to Lightning, and melee attacks quickly Stagger them, so they shouldn't pose a threat.
Fourth trial
- Left hologram: one M.O.T.H. Unit who attacks with spinning blades and is susceptible to Lightinng (Thunder/Thundara spells). The enemy deals physical damage, so Prayer Materia should help keep your heroes with enough health;
- Right hologram: Two Armored Magitroopers, who are resistible to magic and deal serious damage. In this case it is better to choose the other option.
Fifth trial
You'll be facing Deathwheel in the final battle, an autonomous anti-infantry weapon. It is a very agile opponent, which focuses on frontal melee attacks, but is susceptible to Fire, Ice, and Wind.
Using magic on the opponent will make it more susceptible to Stagger. While attempting melee attacks, hit it from behind, as Deathwheel won't be able to protect itself from them.
Defeat Scarlet
After arriving on the upper floor, restock at Vending Machine and regenerate HP/MP of your heroes, as you are standing before Scarlet - the second boss of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission.
