Yuffie and Sonon manage to enter the building, but their presence has been discovered by Scarlet - the boss of Weapons Development in Shinra Electric Power Company.
Search the Facility
While moving through Level B16 of Advanced Weaponry (Inspection), you'll encounter a large arena where a hologram of Scarlet will welcome you. The woman has cooked an intricate scheme and brought you here to put you to a test - you'll have to survive a few rounds of combat with various types of enemies.
First round involves facing one Sweeper and two airborne Slug-Rays. The enemies are very susceptible to Lightning so use Thunder/Tundara/Thundaga to quickly induce Staggered status on the opponents.
The second round involves facing two Moonodrives, which aren't that durable, but can attack with a Fire spell. Moonodrive are very susceptible to physical and Wind attacks, so use Aero or Windstorm.
In the third round, you'll face a few airborne Slug-Rays. These drones are vulnerable to Lightning (Thunder/Thundara spells) and physical attacks, as they can easily induce Staggered status.
When the drone starts targeting your hero and charges an attack, this means that it in a moment will fire a projectile that can paralyze your character for some time.
After three rounds, fire a shuriken at the hook marked in the screenshot above, and then get Sonon to help you access the upper floor. Once you're above, remember to lower the ladder so Sonon can join you.
