FF7 Remake, as opposed to the 1997 original, features much less weapons, but each of them is useful, offers various bonuses and has a development tree. Thanks to such variety, you'll surely find a weapon suitable for your characters.
Cloud

Iron Blade | Triple Slash Slash three enemies in quick succession, dealing more damage with each blow. Proficiency Bonus Hit three or more enemies. | You get this weapon in Chapter 3 - Home Sweet Slum. During A Job for the Neighborhood Watch quest. |
Nail Bat | Disorder Perform a devastating attack and toggle battle modes (Operator, Punisher) with one swift move. Proficiency Bonus Perform a strong attack after changing the mode. | The weapon is given to you after completing a side mission Kids on Patrol in Chapter 8 - Budding Bodyguard. |
Hardedge | Infinity's End Wind up and unleash an overhead strike. Increased damage on stagger. Proficiency Bonus Strike a staggered enemy. | Can be bought from a vendor at Weapons Shop in Wall Market in Chapter 9. |
Mythril Saber | Blade Burst Unleash a wave of non-elemental mako energy at the enemies in front of you with one slash of your sword. Proficiency Bonus Finish the enemy. | Can be bought from a vendor at Weapons Shop in Wall Market in Chapter 14. |

Big Bertha | Maximum Fury - Consume all ATB charges to fire a long stream of bullets at an enemy. Proficiency Bonus Finish the enemy.. | Can be purchased at Weapons Shop in Evergreen Park, Chapter 13. |
Steel Pincers | Charging Uppercut Rush towards an enemy and launch them into the air with a furious blow. Proficiency Bonus Top up energy reserve. | Can be purchased at Moogle Emporium in Sector 6 Slum in Chapter 14. It costs 7 Moogle Medals. |
Wrecking Ball | Smackdown Strike the ground and send nearby enemies flying. Proficiency Bonus Strike three or more enemies. | Reward for performing Subterranean Menace side mission in Chapter 14. |
EKG Cannon | Point Blank Consume all ATB charges to deliver a close-range attack and send enemies flying. Proficiency Bonus Finish the enemy. | In Chapter 16, after meeting Major, talk to Hart again. The man offers his help for 10,000 Gil - say yes and you will get e.g. EKG Cannon. |

Sonic Strikers | Focused Strike Evade, then unleash a charging attack. Moderately increases stagger. Proficiency Bonus You have to stagger the enemy. | There is a branching path in the third laboratory with components for the Airbuster (Chapter 7 - A Trap is Sprung. Leave through the door to reach the chest with Sonic Strikers. |
Feathered Gloves | Starshower Unleash a flurry of powerful strikes. Increases strength of next command executed. Proficiency Bonus After using the weapon ability, use an offensive ability or magic. | In Chapter 10, empty the water in the first aqueduct, then go under the gate and grab the weapon. |

Arcane Scepter | Fleeting Familiar Summon a fairy that attacks your enemies periodically as well as after you use abilities and spells.
