Completing the main story of Intermission DLC takes up 4 to 5 hours. If beside the story missions, you want to complete side quests and other activities (minigames, optional Combat Simulator battles), the length increases to 6-8 hours. The time elapsed will of course differ following your approach to the gameplay and how much time you'll spend in character menus, upgrading weapons and choosing the right Materia.

After completing Intermission for the first time, you receive access to a new difficulty level - Hard. Your heroes will receive more experience, and the game receives new content (additional fights in Combat Simulator) which encourage a new playthrough. If you want to complete it in 100%, this may take up to 12 - 13 hours.
