Destiny 2: Xur Vendor Destiny 2 Guide
Last update: 29 March 2021
In this chapter of the Destiny 2 game guide you will find out who Xur is, where to find him and what he sells.
Every Friday (until Tuesday) in Destiny 2 you can encounter a specific NPC, that is, Xur, who is well-known from the first part of the game. The location of his appearance is random and changes with the Weekly Reset but is visible on the map - search for a dark green icon with a large "IX" number.
Xur - how and where to find him?
Xur changes his location weekly, but offers his services only from Friday (19:00 CET) to Tuesday. The location of his appearance is random and changes with the Weekly Reset but is visible on the map - search for a dark green icon with a large "IX" number.
Xur changes his position every week, so if you want to find him quickly, then you should check this page. By visiting this web address you will find Xur's exact location, as well as a list of Exotic items he currently sells.
Xur - What does he sell?
This merchant sells mainly Exotic Engrams (once a week), Legendary and Exotic items of high level, which enables some players to achieve higher levels of Power more easily. Xur can also sometimes offer cosmetic equipment such as various skins, as well as other useful items such as Five of Swords. During these few days of his visit, the sale offer does not change, so you can count on interesting deals every week.
It is important to note that the primary currency desired by Xur are Legendary Shards, which you can acquire from dismantling Legendary items. It is a good idea to prepare for the next arrival of the trader by having a decent amount of them. Xur often has items that are close to your character's Gear Score, so this is often a good way to improve your Power when you haven't reached the maximum limit yet.
Due to the fact that you can't get a duplicate from Exotic Engrams a good habit is to redeem all the items that Xur offers each week. This way you narrow down the list of Exotics that you can find in Engrams so that you don't end up with a situation where you get an item from Engram that Xur is selling at the same time.
