Destiny 2: Inventory screen Destiny 2 Guide
Last update: 29 March 2021
In this chapter of the Destiny 2 game guide you can find out how the character's inventory screen was divided and what its key elements are.
The equipment & inventory screen in Destiny 2 was split into two separate parts (main items and additional cosmetic items, vehicles) and it's not much different from that of the first installment. Here you can find all the weapons you carry, elements of armor, seasonal Artifact, clan banderole, active Ghost and available subclasses. You can use classic cursor pointer in the inventory.
Main Gear in Destiny 2 - Inventory
The main equipment screen in Destiny 2 allows you to quickly switch weapons, change armor, and Ghost, as well as provides access to seasonal artifact, provides information about the currently used super skill and character subclass.
1. Super Skill / Subclass - the currently selected super-ability is displayed here. All you need to do is move the cursor over it to check how it works and how to use it. When you click triangle or right mouse button while hovering the cursor over it, then you will open the subclass skill tree and get an opportunity to choose its abilities.
2. Kinetic Weapon - a slot for a kinetic weapon that inflicts damage without using any sort of element. This category includes revolvers, automatic rifles, machine guns, pulse rifles, scout rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles.
3. Energy Weapon - a slot for an energy weapon, that is, one that inflicts damage from various types of elements. Some opponents are very sensitive to particular elements. This category includes revolvers, automatic rifles, submachine guns, pulse rifles, fusion rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, and scout rifles.
4. Heavy Weapon - slot used for heavy weapons. These weapons inflict huge amounts of damage, but have very limited amount of ammo. This category includes grenade launchers, rocket launchers, miniguns and swords.
5. Ghost - allows you to select the Ghost armor.
6. Seasonal Artifact.
7. Helmet.
8. Gauntlets.
9. Chest Armor.
10. Leg Armor.
11. Class Armor - its appearance depends on the character's class.
12. Clan Banner / Clan Emblem.
Extra Gear in Destiny 2
By sliding below the standard equipment tab, you can find less significant items. It's easy to forget about this category, and it's worth checking it from time to time, especially after you've finished the main story campaign, in order to assign a vehicle which you can summon during the game.
1. Vehicle - a vehicle that you can summon and use to travel around. You can unlock new vehicles that have different looks, different speed and often special features (such as the ability to reload all weapons after entering the vehicle, or the ability to summon the vehicle more frequently - reduced summon cooldown).
2. Ship - the appearance of the ship in which you travel during the cutscenes or while moving between planets (purely cosmetic feature).
3. Emblem - the appearance of the user interface.
4. Aura Finishers - animated finishing moves used to finish off opponents with low health points.
5. Emojis / Emotes - gestures/poses that you can assign and use during gameplay (social interactions).
