In this chapter of the Destiny 2 game guide, you will learn how to perform an infusion and increase the power levels of weapons and armor.
If you have found weapons or armor that fit perfectly with your style of play, but unfortunately they have a very low level of Gear Score, then you can increase their stats in a very simple and quick way and still use them, even at the end of the game. Below is a brief guide which explains how to perform the infusion process of weapons and armor in Destiny 2.
Infusing weapons in Destiny 2
In order to infuse weapon and increase the weapon's power level in Destiny 2, you will need three things: a weapon that is capable to get an upgrade, an upgrade Module, and other weapons of the same type that can be sacrificed in the process. It should be noted here that the weapon used to upgrade another weapon will be irreparably destroyed so you better make sure you use the correct equipment while upgrading items.
To upgrade your weapon, go to the character screen and show details of the weapon you want to upgrade. Next, select the first option (Infuse) from the Weapon Mods section and click on the weapon you want to use in order to perform the upgrade. Now the only thing that remains is to confirm your choice by holding down the action button (F key by default). The example above shows that the Riskrunner weapon has only 912 power points, but when upgraded it will have 1006 Gear Score.
Infusing armor in Destiny 2
As in the case of weapons, you will need three things to perform the infusion process and increase the power level of armor elements in Destiny 2: an armor item that you want to upgrade, an upgrade Module, and another item of the same type that you can sacrifice in the process. It should be noted here that the item used to upgrade another part of the armor will be irreparably damaged so you better make sure you use the right equipment as you upgrade the items.
To upgrade the armor item, go to the character screen and display the details of the item you want to upgrade. Next, select the Infuse option and click on the item you want to improve. Now the only thing that remains is to confirm your choice by holding down the action button (F key by default).
