Destiny 2: Lumina revolver - how to get? Destiny 2 Guide
Last update: 25 March 2021
In this chapter of our game guide to Destiny 2 we explain how to get an exotic Lumina revolver - how to start a quest and how to complete all its stages.
Acquiring Lumina's Exotic weapon will not be easy, as it requires players to complete a complex chain quest divided into 7 stages. Some subquests will have strict rules, such as the use of a Hand Cannon, while others can be carried out easily during a single event. Below is a complete to-do list that has to be completed if you want to get the Exotic Lumina revolver weapon and some tips on how to carry out the particular objectives.
- Lumina - how to start the quest?
- Lumina - A Fateful Gift
- Lumina - Bearer of Evils Past
- Lumina - Rose, Revealed
- Lumina - Fireteam Leader
- Lumina - Strength In Numbers
- Lumina - Bloom
Lumina - how to start the quest?
Lumina's Exotic weapon quest consists of several stages. The first consists in buying a special note that will order you to retrieve the contents of a mysterious chest which is hidden somewhere in the European Dead Zone.
To purchase the above-mentioned note, go to Benedict 99-40 NPC, who can be found in The Tower, near Drifter's position. The quest called Lumina costs just 500 Glimmer and can only be bought once.
Go to the map of the Solar System, select the European Dead Zone planet and select the location indicated in the image above. Then head to The Salt Mines location - along the way you can do some daily tasks related to eliminating groups of opponents.
When you reach the indicated location, look around for a teleporter - you'll stand near the elevator. It's the same teleporter you might have used during the first campaign of Destiny 2.
Walk ahead until you reach a cliff with a curved barrier and a stretch of road, which can be seen in the image above on the left. Keep going straight and jump a little higher - you'll reach the abandoned camp. At the end of this camp you will find a metal chest. In it you will find the next part of the Lumina Exotic weapon quest.
Lumina - A Fateful Gift
A Fateful Gift is the second stage of Lumina's Exotic Weapon Quest and involves finding a weapon that was hidden in a safe somewhere in the Solar System of Destiny 2. Fortunately, along with the task, you get a special System Positioning Device that tells you where to look for the previously mentioned safe.
During this part of the task, you need to check where to look for the safe and then immediately go to the designated place because the System Positioning Device changes the location of the safe every few minutes.
The safes have been placed in strange and hard-to-reach places so be prepared to squeeze through narrow channels or tunnels, or even look for hidden passages. Once you find the safe and open it, you will receive the next step of this quest - the Bearer of Evils Past.
Lumina - Bearer of Evils Past
Bearer of Evils Past is one of the stages of the Lumina Exotic weapon quest and involves generating 250 Orbs of Light. If you don't know how to generate Orbs of Light in Destiny 2 then in the FAQ section you will find a detailed description of how to do this.
Lumina - Rose, Revealed
The quest consists of 3 subquests, each of which will add 1 Perk to Rose's weapon. These will be needed to complete the next stage of the Lumina's Exotic weapon quest. The Rose, Revealed task consists of the following quests:
- Bang Together - your objective is to score at least 50,000 points in Nightfall: The Ordeal. You can do this easily on the second difficulty level, that is, the Hero difficulty. If you want you can also play on the Adept difficulty level, but you will need extra buffs to increase the points multiplier;
- Face the Hordes - your job is to perform Public Events such as Blind Well, Black Armory Forges or Escalation Protocol;
- Defend the Light - your job is to eliminate more Combatants without reloading your weapons.
Face the Hordes and Defend the Light can easily be performed simultaneously during the Blind Well event.
Lumina - Fireteam Leader
The next stage of the Lumina Exotic weapon quest is the Fireteam Leader, where your task consists in performing various activities throughout the solar system while the Rose weapon is in your character's inventory - you don't have to use it, but it must be assigned to the slot of the kinetic weapon. Interestingly, fighting on the Fireteam team against other Rose gun owners produces the best results.
The fastest way to complete the Fireteam Leader quest is to participate in The Menagerie, Nightfall, or Heroic Public Events. Completion of the regular Strike gives just 3% of the progress.
Lumina - Strength In Numbers
Strength in Numbers is one of the stages of the Lumina Exotic weapon quest and has been divided into 3 parts.
- Generate 50 Orbs of Light. Orbs of Light can be generated by any weapon, but you must also have a Hand Cannon;
- A certain number of finishing shots must be performed on other Guardians as a team by using a Hand Cannon;
- Invasion denied - defeat Invaders in the Gambit mode before they kill anyone of your team. You must have the Rose gun equipped in the proper slot.
Destiny 2 has not fully explained what the finishing shots are all about, so we have to explain it a bit here. Head to The Crucible mode and use a Hand Cannon during gameplay (it doesn't have to be Rose). Each kill earned by you gives you more to the progress of the task (about 4%), but kills earned by the team will also be counted (1% of the progress).
Lumina - Bloom
Bloom is the final stage of Lumina's Exotic weapon quest, which consists in completing the Strike's Will of the Thousands by having the Rose's weapon equipped in the proper slot. During the gameplay, you must recover 11 charges of light from the Hive crystals and defeat Xol. The task must be completed in just one approach. After killing the final boss, the Lumina's revolver weapon will be yours.
