Without a doubt, Borderlands played a huge role in popularisation of looter shooter genre. Since not everyone likes more cartoony style of this title, there is an alternative in the form of constantly updated Destiny 2. The latest expansion, which concludes Light and Darkness saga, entitled The Final Shape offers many interesting stories to be told. Some of them, however, are hidden. Alone in the Dark is such obscured quest that can be challenging to start. Even after successfully starting this mission though, it can still be confusing when it comes to finding a ghost, but after checking this article, everything will become clear to you. So, without further ado…

Starting Alone in the Dark quest in Destiny 2

First of all, we have to be able to start the Alone in the Dark quest, which is one of the hidden missions. To do that, you will be required to complete The Final Shape campaign in D2. Then, travel to Lost City and talk to Micah-10. Doing so will send you on “The Message” quest series. Finishing them will eventually unlock the desired task. However, that’s not where the story ends.

As a side note, this task’s completion is necessary to unlock Khvostov 7G-02, which is the starting weapon in the first Destiny.

Ghost in Alone in the Dark quest explained

At one point during the Alone in the Dark quest, you will be required to find a ghost. Many players are confused about it. Rightfully so, as the mission comes in 6 variations. Due to that, the location of the ghost will vary. What is more, this assignment is repeatable, allowing you to complete it several times.

To make locating the ghosts easier, pay attention to your map. It should narrow down the area in which the objective can be found. While there, look for an orange tinted glow. It indicates the spot where the ghost is.

Hopefully, armed with this knowledge you will be able to successfully proceed and complete the quest. Good luck!
