Destiny 2 Heresy is here with the next episode in The Final Shape cycle, bringing plenty of new challenges and missions. Some are pretty tough, leaving players frustrated – whether they're stuck on the Echoed Warnings quest or struggling to offer Metastasized Essentia to the Taken Altar. Now, there's a new headache: the Tome of Want mission, which seems to be bugged. But is it really? Here’s what you really need to do to activate the ritual.
How to activate the ritual in Tome of Want A Primer quest in Destiny 2
Some Destiny 2 players are getting stuck on steps 3 or 4 of the Tome of Want: A Primer quest, and it looks like Bungie is already aware of the issue. But the real problem might just be that the steps aren’t explained clearly enough.
When you try to activate the ritual, you actually need to match the Scripture types you’re adding. If you’re stuck, here’s what to do:
- In the first slot (starting from the left), you need to use a blue scripture. For example, you can use an Episodic Weapons Scripture.
- In the second slot, you need to add a legendary Crumbling Scripture that matches what you chose in the first slot. If you picked Episodic Weapons, go with something like Auto Rifles.
- Finally, place Ritual of Desire in the last slot, and you’re good to go.
If you followed this order and matched the scriptures correctly, the ritual should activate without any issues and progress to the next step.
