Welcome to Fort Tarsis | Anthem story missions walkthrough
Welcome to Fort Tarsis is one of the initial story missions in Anthem. During this mission, you get to the titular fort for the first time. Fort Tarsis is a safe location. You can visit the fort dwellers and select and modify your first javelin. Full walkthrough below.
This mission begins with the character creator - you have to select your character's appearance and give him a nickname (it will be visible to other players).
You cannot change character's sex, as you selected it in the beginning of the game during the Silence the Heart of Rage mission. If you still want to change your character's sex, refer to the Can I start over the game? section of this guide.
Head out to meet Owen (henceforth, you can engage in emotional conversations with NPCs - the dialogue icons are visible on the map of the fort).
After the conversation, return to where you started exploring the fort. There, you will meet with Tassyn. Once more, you can interact with the Forge terminal (screenshot above).
You have to select your first javelin class from the four available classes - their descriptions can be found in the Javelin classes section of this guide. The new javelin is assigned to the character forever. You will unlock another class upon reaching experience level 8, so consider your choice well. Now you can install first pieces of equipment and modify its appearance.
After leaving the Forge, you will automatically begin the next story mission - Lost Arcanist.
