Do the choices during conversations have any consequences in Anthem story? Anthem Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 18 February 2019
In Anthem, you can meet various NPCs inside Fort Tarsis. Check this page to see if the conversations with NPCs have any consequences.
The places where you can have conversations with NPCs are marked on the fort's map with a speech bubble icon (see the picture above).
These conversations are unlocked by making enough progress in the game or after specific conversations (e.g. the person you spoke with before was planning on doing something - during your next visit to the fort you can speak with that person and learn about the results).
At some points during the conversations, you will have to choose one of the two dialog potions. These choices don't matter. You won't get any unique rewards, you won't get punished, no one will die, and you won't block yourself from accessing a mission. Conversations with the NPCs are completely optional - you can skip them if you don't care about befriending the NPCs or you aren't interested in the game's world.
Reputation points are the only reward you get from these conversations. You will get them only after selected meetings. At the end of a conversation, the game will show you how many reputation points for one or a few factions you got (see the picture above).
Icons presenting a person are for side missions. Meet that NPC to learn details about a given mission. The same goes for NPCs related to the main missions - speak with them to accept a quest.
