How to travel faster in Anthem? Anthem Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 22 February 2019
Traversing the map end-to-end in Anthem can take some time. In this section of the guide, we've listed 3 universal tips that will help you travel faster in Anthem. You should find them most useful in the Freeplay mode, where you can travel the entire game world without any constraints.
There's, unfortunately, no fast travel system In Anthem. Once you're in the game world, you have to reach every place yourself. However, this should not be considered a waste of time, though, as during the journey you can look for crafting materials, secrets, and treasures, as well as engage in randomly unlocked events.
- Tip 1: Use javelin's boosters
- Tip 2: Select different starting locations when preparing for an expedition
- Tip 3: fly through energy tunnels
Tip 1: Use javelin's boosters
The easiest and most obvious way. You can hold the direction-up key or push the left analog stick up. The javelin will reach greater speeds, but the engines will also gather more heat. We recommend this solution only if you're in a real hurry, for example during missions, where you have to escape an ambush. You can also use this method more confidently if there's water in the vicinity - waterfalls, rivers, and lakes let you cool the engines.
Tip 2: Select different starting locations when preparing for an expedition
We're talking here only about the Freeplay mode. While preparing for an expedition, you can choose one of several points scattered all over the map. If you want to explore a specific area of the map, you should obviously select the nearest starting point.
Tip 3: fly through energy tunnels
When traversing the map, you may encounter tunnels such as the one in the picture. The tunnels allow you to fly to the neighboring sector much quicker. You should definitely use them, especially since neighboring sectors are often divided by a mountain range, which otherwise would have to be bypassed, which can take a few minutes.
