Heart of Rage | Strongholds in Anthem Anthem Guide and Walkthrough

This Stronghold mission is unlocked after you complete Anthem's main storyline.

Heart of Rage, one of the Stronghold missions in Anthem, is a copy of the last mission from the main storyline. After reaching the first location, you will face numerous elite enemies in a small arena. Your objective is to defeat them all.

Focus on attacking enemies in the first arena - the enemies aren't that strong, and you don't have a lot of covers.

Enemies have their spawns on both sides of the arena (they spawn in pairs). Attack them in those spots or use offensive abilities. On your way to the second arena, you will encounter a few enemies and a turret - you don't have to destroy it, just fly over it.

Titan

The first Titan shouldn't be a problem for you; especially when you have a Colossus Javelin in the party.

Time to face a Titan. Since this is a "larger" version, this Titan will be using two attacks at the same time (the second attack usually summons elementals). The best way to attack this enemy is to hover in the air or stand on tall ruins. However, any of these two methods won't keep you safe from explosions appearing right beneath you or homing fireballs. Attack the Titan when he starts to using his attack - shoot at the burning spot on his body. A loot chest will spawn in the place where you defeated the Titan.

Signal jammer

Proceed to another arena. You will spend more time here. Stand in the center of the arena, near the signal jammer - the device makes you unable to fly. Stand in the green circle to fill up the bar in the upper right corner of the screen. Once it gets full, you will be able to fly again. Defeat the enemies on the bottom. After that, look up - more enemies will come out of the rocks. It is important to deactivate the jammer quickly. Otherwise, you will have problems with dealing with the enemies attacking you from above.

Collect Echoes

Collect Echoes and place them near the gate. Watch out, the enemies' spawn point is nearby.

The next arena requires you to collect Echoes (10 pieces). Powerful enemies will spawn near the gate.

Attack red spots on the Fury's black shield. If these spots are hidden, help your downed enemies.

Collect all Echoes and defeat the remaining enemies. Time for a fight with three Furies. These enemies are deadly - they are using shields and have a lot of health points. Destroy their shield and then deal as much damage as possible. If you don't do that, a Fury will hide inside a black sphere and regenerate its health partially. Destroy these spheres by attacking red spots appearing on them. Furies rely a lot on melee attacks. They also use teleportation and can shoot homing balls - fight them at a medium distance (while you are hovering). Don't forget to open the loot chest.

Fight with the Monitor

The fight with the Monitor is divided into three parts. In the first, the enemy is using melee attacks (slow and easy to dodge) and fireballs falling on the arena. These fireballs explode after a few seconds - move away from them or destroy. Attack any part of the Monitor's body to deal damage. However, if your attacks aren't critical, they will deal about 1/10th of the damage dealt with critical hits.

The boss's weak point is in the waist - depending on his moves, that spot is in the front, in the back or on the side. Keep shooting this spot. When you see yellow numbers, focus your fire on the spot that glows green. The first phase ends when you deplete 1,5 - 2 health bars.

Fireballs appear out from nowhere. The only way to tell that they are going to appear is the glow behind your Javelin's back.

The ground in the second arena is made out of metal plates sunken in acid - don't stand on the ground to avoid acid damage. Reduce the Monitor's health bar to a half to proceed to the next stage. The enemy uses elementals - they explode when you touch them (and they inflict poison status). However, they don't move between the platforms - high mobility is highly recommended in this fight. The Monitor can also use an attack similar to that used by the Titans - explosion that appears right beneath the player. The only way to avoid damage is to perform a dodge (L. Ctrl).

Use ruins to avoid ground-based attacks.

The boss uses electric attacks in the last stage. He summons electric spheres that appear in random spots. If you touch them, you will lose a lot of health and your Javelin will get overheated. Also, electric waves appear on the arena's edges and they move towards the center (these waves appear every few seconds). In this fight you have to:

1. Try to stand on top of tall constructions (ruins, hovering).
2. Don't try to revive your teammates right after they fall down - you can die pretty fast while you are trying to revive them.
3. This stage requires you to deplete two health bars (a possible bug - the Monitor dies when he still has one health bar left).

Also: a very vulnerable spot appears at the top of the boss's head - shoot it do deal about 50% more damage.
