Tyrant Mines | Strongholds in Anthem Anthem Guide and Walkthrough

The first Stronghold available to complete in Anthem is called Tyrant Mines. In this expedition, you have to destroy Scar weapons factory. This is a difficult challenge and is best to be completed in cooperation with your squad.

Reported bugs preventing players from continuing the mission
Upon joining the session you appear in the cave. Follow the markers to reach a round gate. If the gate is closed, rejoin the session. This cave is a corridor between the second and the third stage - the bug causes you to appear here before your fellow team members completed second stage (they probably will not do it without the fourth player).
The second bug occurs inside the cave, even if everything is going well. After completing stage 2 and crossing the cave, you jump from a waterfall into water. You swim across an underwater corridor and find yourselves in front of the round gate. If the gate is closed, there is nothing you can do about it - the mission has to be restarted, as the gate should open as soon as first player emerges from water.
Stage 1 - Rocks
In the first stage, you reach an arena located in between rocks with numerous stationery turrets and several opponent respawn points. The key to success does not lie in fighting opponents - they will keep appearing until you complete this stage.
First, destroy the turrets. They are shooting bullets and homing missiles - they are easy to avoid by hiding behind rocks or dodging when flying. The turrets have their weak spots on their back - the yellow canisters. To get rid of them successfully, cooperate: take turns to distract the turrets and allow other squad members to attack its weak spot.
In order to complete this stage, you need to collect all Echoes (glowing orbs) and place them in a spot between the rocks. 3 first Echoes can be found on the lower level. The next ones can be found on the hill. Mini-bosses appear there. Unfortunately, you need to eliminate them in order to continue. Their weak spots are located on their right shoulders and backs (red fuel tanks). Carry the remaining Echoes to the right spot. Note - the locations where you can find Echoes are random with each playthrough, however, you can easily track them using the radar.
Stage 2 - greenery
This task is quite similar - first eliminate turrets and snipers, and then gather the glowing orbs. Snipers are located on the rocks. Similarly to turrets, they do not respawn, however, they are quite resistant and wear renewable armor. Thus, make sure you killed a sniper during a single offensive, before he replenishes his shields.
You have to eliminate turrets and snipers, because as you collect all of the available echoes (8 pieces), two bosses will appear in this area. The remaining Echoes will not be available to pick up until you deal with these bosses..
You will find them on the both sides of the arena, inside cages (you can open them by pressing the action buttons when standing next to them but only, when the lights on the locks turn green - after you defeat the bosses).
Upon gathering all the Echoes, the enemies disappear, and a loot crate will appear next to the place where you gathered all the orbs. Now, go to the cave.
Stage 3 - Caves
Now, you have to go across the caves. This is a simple stage - you will encounter several scorpions on your way - you don't have to fight them, just continue across the cave.
There is a waterfall at the end of this corridor - jump down from it into the water and swim across the underwater corridor towards the round gate at the end (if it's closed, you have encountered a bug preventing you from continuing - you have to start over this mission).
This is sometimes caused by one of the players missing - all of you have to reach the gate at the same time.
Stage 4 - Grotto
Here, you have to go to the side corridors, in which you find small items glowing blue, which you have to carry to the central part of the arena and place in a levitating cube.
After placing all six artifacts in the right spot, another stage will start.: you have to divide the tasks among the squad members in order to complete it.
Part of the squad should stay on the upper level and destroy the electric spheres, until the progress bar in the top right corner is filled.
The remaining part of the squad (sometimes one person should be enough) fights off scorpions' attacks and defends the other part of the team. There is only one way - a ramp, on which it is easy to prepare ambushes. It is a good idea to e.g. fire it up to prevent the enemies from crossing it. Completing this stage is rewarded with the second loot crate.
Stage 5 - Boss
The last fight is the final boss. It does not pose a significant challenge - depending on the difficulty level and the squad's power, you can defeat him even within two turns (although by default 4 turns). Just attack the cysts on its body: two on each side. Upon dealing enough damage, a cyst disappears and the boss runs over the wall of the arena.
Now, multiple scorpions will emerge from a random side wall. Just stand together and eliminate all the enemies until the boss arrives again.
- You can take 1 health points to the boss before it runs away;
- You can shoot at the monster when it's climbing the wall;
- Completing this stage is rewarded but not as outstanding as in previous crates - it might happen that happen that players leave the session after the first or second loot crate to keep what they found.
