Quest rewards

  1. 28000 XP
  2. 2 skill points
  3. A gold trophy for completing the game - you will receive it regardless of the difficulty level you choose

Assemble your companions

Use fast travel to move back to the Base - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Use fast travel to move back to the Base. Watch a cutscene featuring Sylens and Tilda, and others. Then go to the room where GAIA was earlier and press the Triangle to bring all the companions together to plan the attack on Zenith headquarters.

Go to the rendezvous point - point of no return

Soon, you will reach the unofficial point of no return - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Soon, you will reach the unofficial point of no return. Starting the main part of the final quest (the journey to Zenith island) will prevent you from free-roaming the rest of the game world. You will have to finish the main quest first. Fortunately, you can do side activities also after finishing the main storyline. You don't have to complete all side quests or optional activities right now. None of these will be lost - they will be available as part of the "endgame phase".

Before you leave the Base, you may optionally talk to your companions who are at the team's safe house. Meeting the companions will also be possible after completing the main storyline, although then it will be a bit more difficult and not all conversation topics may be available.

The planned meeting site is in the southern part of the map, adjacent to the island with Zenith outpost. When you get there, interact with the campfire to summon your allies. Confirm that you want to start the finale and move to the island.

Go to the launch tower

You have quite a long and tiring journey ahead of you towards the tower visible in the distance - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

You have quite a long and tiring journey ahead of you towards the tower visible in the distance. You'll have to fight groups of Specters along the way. All of these fights look similar.

you should be able to surprise the enemy with your attacks. Sneak in the tall grass and use focus to find and track the specters nearby. Depending on the situation, you can try to get close to one of the specters and perform a silent strike, deploy traps in the area, or plan a strong first attack from a distance.

Remember that specters have two fundamental weaknesses - acid and plasma - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Remember that specters have two fundamental weaknesses - acid and plasma. Try to use traps and weapons that utilize these substances, and try to strip the specters of more armor to expose them to further attacks.

In the locations you will be going through with Sylens, you will find many destroyed machines. It is worth exploring all of them, because this way, you'll obtain many ingredients e.g. to craft rare types of ammo.

You can also try to use some heavy weapons against the specters - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

You can also try to use some heavy weapons against the specters. The spectres have Pulse Cannons, but unfortunately they only extend them when they are using them, which can make them very difficult to detach. Thankfully, you can find some heavy weapons on the machines that were destroyed before you arrived (e.g. Ravager cannons).

The game will allow you to skip some of the specter fights and sneak to the exits, but the specters generally shouldn't be a big threat if you're well-equipped; they can also give you additional XP - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

The game will allow you to skip some of the specter fights and sneak to the exits, but the specters generally shouldn't be a big threat if you're well-equipped; they can also give you additional XP.

You have to climb and occasionally glide on your way to the next specter location, but it's not very complicated and the route itself is very linear. When you find a metal flower, remember to hit it a few times first and only then put the spear in it.

In the later part of the journey climb onto the large Stormbird wreck located on the rocks above the chasm - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

In the later part of the journey climb onto the large Stormbird wreck located on the rocks above the chasm. This will allow you to make another jump towards the interactive edges next to the wreck.

After one of the confrontations, you have to jump to a vertical wall and move to the left along the interactive edges. When you arrive at the next spot, you'll see a cutscene that will show a large battle between the specters and the dominated machines.

Once you have regained control of Aloy, make a long jump towards the new interactive edges and use them to move right - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Once you have regained control of Aloy, make a long jump towards the new interactive edges and use them to move right. You must jump down to the next area with specters, but again, fighting them is optional.

Climb to a higher ledge, from which you can glide to the rusty balcony shown in the picture. You are about to fight the specters for the last time, and this confrontation is inevitable. When the fight is over, go up the hill. Zo will join the rest of the team along the way. Reach the point where another cutscene will play.

Go to the top of the tower

Head out towards the tower and reach the freight elevator console - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Head out towards the tower and reach the freight elevator console. Soon after you turn on the elevator, Erik will appear and you will have to face him again, which, unlike the first time, will end in his death.

Kill Erik - boss fight

He may not be a machine, but you should still use your Focus on Erik - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

He may not be a machine, but you should still use your Focus on Erik. You'll learn his armor is weak against fire and frost. Use proper elemental ammo on him, if you can. Traps aren't very useful against Erik, as he's very agile and can easily attack Aloy while she's trying to set them up.

Equip Aloy with a shock-resistant outfit if you can, as this is the main element your opponent uses.

For most of the duel Erik will try to fight you in melee, constantly chasing you - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

For most of the duel Erik will try to fight you in melee, constantly chasing you. Therefore, you should sprint a lot and, above all, dodge, as your opponent can perform quick melee strikes. These include forward thrusts and spin attacks, all of which can easily hit Aloy.

Erik can also levitate to execute some very dangerous moves - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Erik can also levitate to execute some very dangerous moves. He'll generate shockwaves or shoot at Aloy from a distance. Depending on the attack he uses, either back away from him or hide behind cover.

Some of Erik's attacks work similarly to traps, which means they pose a threat even after he's done executing them - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Some of Erik's attacks work similarly to traps, which means they pose a threat even after he's done executing them. You should move away from trapped areas and continue your onslaught from elsewhere.

Throughout the duel rely on fire and frost - your main objective should be getting rid of Erik's helmet, so always aim for the upper part of his armor - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Throughout the duel rely on fire and frost - your main objective should be getting rid of Erik's helmet, so always aim for the upper part of his armor. After he loses his headgear keep shooting him in the head to quickly drain his health.

Go to the top of the tower - continued

Reach the console again to turn on the elevator again - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Reach the console again to turn on the elevator again. It will unfortunately stop before reaching the top. You must locate the interactive edges and start climbing along them.

Use the pullcaster while climbing. A little later, you will also have to pull yourself to a higher ledge. After reaching the top, watch the cutscenes with Beta and Tilda - you will have to fight the latter.

Defeat Tilda - final boss fight with Specter Prime

The final boss of the game is Tilda, but she'll be on board of a huge and very advanced machine - Specter Prime - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

The final boss of the game is Tilda, but she'll be on board of a huge and very advanced machine - Specter Prime. This means that defeating it will become more problematic.

Make sure you scan Specter Prime (it's the only enemy of its kind you'll encounter). The final boss' biggest weakness is plasma, so try to equip Aloy with a plasma-based weapon. If you don't have such weapons, you can use acid instead. You should also equip an outfit making Aloy resistant to fire and shock.

Relying on plasma or acid is very important, since Specter Prime is equipped with nano-armor which initially protects the machine from any serious damage - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Relying on plasma or acid is very important, since Specter Prime is equipped with nano-armor which initially protects the machine from any serious damage. You must damage and destroy at least some armor fragments.

Interestingly, Spectre Prime has a small regeneration module in its lower chest that can repair damaged armor pieces. You can prevent this from happening by destroying this module early on or by constantly attacking to out-damage its repairing capabilities.

During the duel try to destroy the components Specter Prime uses to execute its strongest attacks - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

During the duel try to destroy the components Specter Prime uses to execute its strongest attacks:

  1. Siege Mortars in its upper armor can bombard the surrounding area.
  2. Pulse Cannon on the Spectre's chest can shoot shock ammo.
  3. Lancer Prime on the boss's back can fire a series of lance-like projectiles.
  4. Vector Thruster near its legs lets the boss generate waves of fire you must jump away from.
In addition to its ranged attacks, the boss can also strike you with its upper limbs and use them to destroy cover - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

In addition to its ranged attacks, the boss can also strike you with its upper limbs and use them to destroy cover.

During the fight try staying on the move, dodge often and liberally use your healing items, as you won't need them later on.

By skillfully using the elements the boss is weak to you can stun it and make it kneel or fall down - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

By skillfully using the elements the boss is weak to you can stun it and make it kneel or fall down. Use this opportunity to execute a critical hit or to easily fire at some of its weak spots.

Destroy Specter Prime to defeat Tilda once and for all.

Ending and endgame

Horizon Forbidden West has only 1 ending, because the campaign features no choices that could affect it - Horizon Forbidden West: Singularity - walkthrough, ending - Main Storyline - Horizon Forbidden West Guide

Horizon Forbidden West has only 1 ending, because the campaign features no choices that could affect it. After defeating Tilda, Aloy and her allies decide to unite and prepare to fend off an incoming new threat called Nemesis.

You can keep playing after you finish the main storyline. You will return to the world map, and all side quests and optional activities that you haven't done yet will become available again. The only difference is that only the Beta will be in the Base. You'll find Aloy's other allies elsewhere; Zo, for example, will return to Plainsong.
