Talk to a woman named Minda at Camp Nowhere.
Find the Oseram Runaway
Head to the designated area west of Camp Nowhere.
Kill the Machines
Once you get there, help the Oseram and kill all the machines that attack her. The Apex Spikesnout and Apex Scrounger are stronger counterparts to the regular machines. Target their weak spots or legs to quickly knock them, then perform critical hits.
Talk to the Oseram
Once you have eliminated the threat, approach the Oseram and talk to her.
Go to the Spike on the Cliff
Climb to the top of the cliff. Scan the area to find the fastest way to the top. You'll find many grips on the rock that you can pull yourself to.
Reacquire the Signal
When you reach the top, walk up to the spike and try to catch the signal.
Return to the Oseram Tinker
Glide on the shield-wing or use the ropes to quickly return to the Oseram.
Go to the Tower in Scalding Spear
After talking to the Oseram, head to Scalding Spear first and approach the tallest tower.
Climb up the Tower
Start the climb at the back of the tower, scan the area and find the yellow grip. Pull yourself to it using the pullcaster and jump over the protruding beams to the higher level of the tower.
When you get high enough, an icon will appear on the screen to indicate the next grip. Pull yourself to it and climb up the wooden platform. Climb along the next grips to the top and move to the right. Grab onto the protruding beams and jump to the highest level of the tower. Finally, climb the stairs to the top.
Reacquire the Signal
Walk up to the highest point on the tower and try to catch the signal.
Go to the Mountain above the Base
Go to the designated location at the Base. Approach the mountains and scan the area.
Climb up to the South Face of the Mountain
Walk over the fallen log to the adjacent rock and knock over the tree. Walk to the next hill and hide in the tall grass.
Kill the Machines
Kill all Leaplashers in the area. These machines are susceptible to purgewater damage.
From time to time, the area will be scanned by a red light that will interfere with your focus. On the rock you will find a Radar Pod - search it to deactivate it.
Keep climbing the mountain. Walk through the snow to higher ground, scan the area, and climb the rock to the top. Move across the rock to the right and pull yourself to the grip.
Jump over to the adjacent rock and continue climbing. Jump over the rock on the left by the crate and enter an area where grass sticks out of the snow. Go up, scan your surroundings, and pull yourself to the next grip.
Pull yourself to the yet another grip and move right along the rock. Jump to the rock ledge where you will find a chest, and climb on to the next hill.
Kill the Machines
When you reach the top, you will find yourself in a Glinthawk Site. Kill all machines with fire ammo or explosive bombs.
If you have bought the Silent Strike enhancement skill, wait until the machines stand on the rock. Go up to one of them and perform a silent strike.
Keep climbing once you've killed the macines. Scan the area and walk up the rock with icicles. Then climb up the rock on the left, and when you won't be able to go on because of the ice, jump over to the opposite rock.
When you reach the top, pull yourself to the grip and climb to the highest peak of the rock.
Reacquire the Signal
Get to the marker on the map and try to catch the signal.
Go to the Origin of the Signal
Head north of the Base to the source of the signal you found.
Kill the Machines
Hide in the grass and wait for the Ravager and the Bellowback to move away to a safe distance, and kill the Lancehorn first.
Using bombs, destroy the tank on the Bellowback's back, thus getting rid of its toxic weapon.
The Ravager will cause the biggest threat. Shoot its machine gun off its back and watch out for the machine's shock attacks. Keep your distance and use explosive bombs or purgewater bombs, which will effectively damage the Ravager.
At the end, kill the rest of the machines in the area.
Search the Canyon for the Source of the Signal
Climb to the highest point, use your focus and find the source of the signal.
Find an Entrance to the Cavern
You will find a collapsed cave entrance near the signal source. Walk up to the rocks and use your spear to lever them up.
Go to the Source of the Signal
Dive into the water and swim through the tunnel to the signal source. Scan the area to find the path underwater.
Loot the Crate
Take the contents of the crate and listen to the entire message.
Return to Silga
Return to Silga and tell her about what you found.
Craft a Weapon Using the Recovered Supplies
Finally, approach the workbench and craft weapons from the resources you found. The Spinthorn Spike Thrower has tremendous knockdown power and explosive ammunition. It has 4 upgrade levels and 2 coil slots.
