Tactics
In a Gauntlet Run, you have to win. There is no other option. If you finish in second or third place, you will fail the race and need to repeat it.
To finish first, take the lead as quickly as possible. The game doesn't show in any way how much time has left. You can only count on your memory and sense of direction. If you take the lead, use items to keep others behind you. During the race, you'll collect many bombs - it is not worth waiting to use them.
However, if you can't take the lead quickly, try to stay near the others. Driving right next to someone will likely end in an impact. Opponents are ruthless and doing everything they can to win. In a lower position than first, a bow will work well. You can use it to stun your opponents without risking health.
Dry Yearn
This is the first Gauntlet Run you have to finish. You will find it by walking west from the Base. This is a very simple and short race. However, if you don't win it, you can repeat it until you get it right.
Cliffs of the Cry
The second Gauntlet Run will be available immediately after winning the first one. You will find it in the western part of the map, on the beach. The easiest way to get there is by walking west from the Thornmarsh.
Bonewhite Tear
The third Gauntlet Run will unlock after the second race is completed. You will find this one in the northern part of the map, near the mountains. This time, the entire track will be snow-covered, and there will be snowing during the race. This won't affect the horse's behavior. However, it can be harder to aim at the enemies.
The Stillsands
The final Gauntlet Run will be held in the Stillsands region. It takes place at night, making it much harder to aim at the opponents. The time of day will change, no matter what time you show up at that place. For winning all the Gauntlet Runs, you will receive a bow.
