Thanks to Painting skill available in The Sims 4, you can add a few more Simoleons to your budget, as well as decorate your home with your creations. This page will teach you how to develop this skill, as well as show off your creations to the neighbors.
Leveling up this skill to its maximum level and selling your paintings may allow your Sim to receive a huge income. The easiest way to learn this skill is to buy an easel and to start painting the only art type that is unlocked for you at the moment which is a classical painting. You can create paintings in three sizes, small (for 50 Simoleons), medium (for 75 Simoleons) or big (for 100 Simoleons). New levels will allow you to paint in new styles such as pop art, realistic, abstract, surreal or impressionistic. It's not beneficial to learn Painting from books. Finished paintings you can frame and keep or sell (click on it to decide).
Leveling this skill will allow your Sim to make better and better paintings. Additionally his art will depend on his mood (such as focused or confident) and may influence other Sims what will make them feel the same way. Higher levels of this skill will give you a huge chance of creating a masterpiece what will highly increase your painting value.
