The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: Influence points - how to get fast? Sims 4 Guide, tips
Easy and fast influence points!
Last update: 07 April 2022
On this page of Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle guide, you will learn how to collect influence points necessary for voting on Neighborhood Action Plans, Community Shared Lots, and persuading NPCs to support certain initiatives. Points are the basic "currency" for making changes in Evergreen Harbor or in any world with eco footprint mode set to active (excluding vacational ones and StrangerVilles).
How to get influence points fast?
The easiest ways to score influence points quickly at the start of a game:
- say hello to Knox - he will come to your house on the first day to talk about eco initiatives - you will get 10 points;
- say hello to everyone you see - greeting every new person will give you 4 points. Evergreen Harbor is heavily populated, so you can collect up to 100 points in a few minutes;
- take part in the passed initiatives - each initiative comes with rewards for those who participate in them.
GETTING POINTS FAST AND EASY
When choosing initiatives, read their descriptions. Vote for projects that reward you for the activities you like and perform in The Sims. E.g. Green gardening guarantees influence points for gardening - if you grow a lot of plants, you will get up to 100 points each time you harvest your crops.
Neighborhood action plans reward e.g.:
- tinkering
- recycling
- physical activity
- cooking
- staying hydrated and mixology practice
- wearing a paper bag on your head.
A full list of plans and related awards can be found on a separate page of the guide, Neighborhood Action Plans - local, social.
How to vote?
- Voting in Evergreen Harbor takes place at a whiteboard found in the world or through a mailbox. Votes can be cast from Friday 8:00 a.m. to Monday 6: 00 p.m. - no votes can be cast beyond that date.
- One vote costs 10 points
- You can cast one vote in one day. Children are not allowed to vote.
Outside Evergreen Harbor, you can place a voting whiteboard in buy mode on any public or private parcel - it costs 325 Simoleons. However, placing the whiteboard on a remote (e.g. public) parcel will only allow you to get acquainted with plans and rumors - you won't be able to cast a vote. Therefore, it is best to vote by mailbox.
How do I make my initiative win?
Each attempt to convince another sim of the plan costs 5 points. If you succeed, sim will walk up to the board and cast his vote. To ensure that the spent influence doesn't go to waste, remember to take care of the sim's needs. If he is inspired or confident, he has an even better chance of success.
