The Sims 4 Island Living: Ocean and beaches - new activities Sims 4 Guide, tips

Last update: 07 April 2022

Sulani, the new land in The Sims 4: Island Living, is full of sunny beaches with access to the ocean. Because of this, the game has a lot of new activities related to this. Your characters can sunbathe on the beach, search for shellfish, or dive into the ocean. On this page you will learn all the new activities available after you purchase the Island Living add-on for Sims 4.

Ocean activities

Diving is the most extensive activity. - The Sims 4 Island Living: Ocean and beaches - new activities - The Sims 4: Island Living - Sims 4 Guide
Diving is the most extensive activity.

In the ocean, of course, you can swim - directly or on one of the available water vehicles. Ships are scattered around the island, but they can also be purchased in construction mode. One example is a vehicle called a Outrigger Canoe. Swimming itself does not bring any benefits - it is a way of exploring or spending free time.

Much more interesting is scuba diving. To start scuba diving you must find the diving buoys - they are distributed throughout the island in the water (the appearance of the buoys is shown in the picture above). After clicking on the buoy you can start the dive. However, it is worth buying equipment that will provide additional options - after purchasing an item you can unlock new possibilities in the buoy menu. In the table below you will find all the items related to diving - you can buy them in the diving buoy's menu.

Beach activities

You can find many interesting items on the beach. - The Sims 4 Island Living: Ocean and beaches - new activities - The Sims 4: Island Living - Sims 4 Guide
You can find many interesting items on the beach.

Also, the beach offers many interesting attractions. All activities on the beach are presented below:

  1. Sims can sunbathe on the beach - just use the mattress or towel. You will find mattresses on the beaches, but you can also buy your own in the construction mode. But don't stay in the sun too long, because Sim can get burned - his skin will turn red and his mood may spoil quickly.
  2. Looking for shells and garbage - on the beach you will find lots of items. Just click anywhere on the beach and choose to search for shells or garbage. This way you will get items that you can sell or use as decorations at home. Remember that digging through the sand can end up in a crab bite or touching something unpleasant - and that ends with a bad mood of your Sim. It also happens that a seagull will steal the treasures you just have found.
  3. Building sand sculptures- creating sand constructions is a great way to spend your free time and have fun with other Sims. You can do it anywhere on the beach.
