The Sims 4: New Skills - levels, description Sims 4 Guide, tips
Last update: 07 April 2022
The expansion adds two new skills - Archeological knowledge and Selvadoradian Culture. Both skills can be studied in Selvadorada, the new zone. Below you can find the descriptions for the individual levels and ways you can improve the given skill.
Selvadoradian Culture
Description: Sims who are passionate about Selvadoradian Culture are completely encompassed by it. They throw less embarrassing comments and manage to complete more complicated dance moves. The knowledge of Selvadoradian Culture can be increased by talking to local inhabitants, trying local food, and interacting with local merchants.
All you have to do is buy local food from vendors and ask them about Selvadoradian culture (dialogue options with a head of an ancient sculpture). Selvadoradian culture can be easily leveled up and you can reach the final(fifth) level very quickly.
Skill Level | Description |
First | Sim can now ask about local attractions and gather information on Selvadoradian traditions. |
Second | Sim can now try to greet other locals with a Selvadoradian hello as well as show his pictures made during the vacation. |
Third | Sim can now greet other Sims with a Selvadoradian greeting. Unlocks new guitar tracks. |
Fourth | Sim learns new dance moves. You can now ask about local legends. |
Fifth | Sim is now a local inhabitant and can write guides on his computer. You can also order food from a secret menu, as well as buy mysterious items at vendors. Sim can also avoid fireflies and sparks. |
Archeological Knowledge
Description: Some Sims are fascinated about discovering long forgotten information and treasures. Babbling in the ground can be very satisfying. Archaeological knowledge can be expanded by digging and exploring ancient artifacts and confirming their authenticity. Deepening it unlocks new interactions available at the archaeological site.
An archeological station can be bought at the marketplace. You can also find it near the tavern. Archeological Knowledge can be developed at an archeological station - all you have to do is to place e.g. a lump of earth shaped like an artifact (can be bought at vendors or dug out of the ground) and start cleaning it. The next levels enable you to confirm the authenticity of acquired items. Digging through mounds and crystals found around the jungle also develops this ability.
