This page of the guide explains what the Phoenix Plumes are used for in Lost Ark: how to resurrect your character with them and how to obtain them. You will also find out where to purchase them.
Phoenix Plume - what is it?
Phoenix Plumes are special - and rare - feathers you use to resurrect yourself after dying. Without them you'll have to return to your nearest starting point (usually the nearest settlement) and travel back to the place where you died.
- Death doesn't carry any other penalties with it,
- Players can't resurrect their fallen allies,
- Only Phoenix Plumes allow you to immediately resurrect yourself exactly where you died.
Phoenix Plumes aren't easy to get, especially later on, so you shouldn't overuse them. They can be obtained in various ways, via progress - but you shouldn't hope for common enemies to drop them or for random traders to sell them. They're usually rewards for your progress in the game:
- In the Adventurer's Tome,
- In Rapport,
- For completing side quests,
- In special tasks (e.g. weekly challenges or daily login rewards).
Phoenix Plume - how to use
Note: Phoenix Plumes stuck deep in your inventory won't work automatically. You must first "use" them by right-clicking on them and assigning them to the Roster - they'll be visible in the upper part of the screen, to the right of your currency counter.
When you die, you can choose where to be resurrected. If you select an enclosed location, you will often find yourself at its beginning. From the world map, you will often end up in the nearest settlement or near Triport. However, if you die in special areas, such as during Raids or in Dungeons, then failing to use a Phoenix Plume usually results in abandoning the current activity in this location.
Phoenix Plume - can you buy it?
You can also purchase Phoenix Plumes with in-game currencies. This requires Seals, which you gain from Dispatches sent from the Stronghold. Plumes can later be purchased from travelling merchants inside the fortress who appear in its harbor for a limited time. Unfortunately - the number of plumes is very limited (e.g. up to two). For this reason, we recommend buying them at each opportunity and treating it as a side activity. However, if you need them immediately, you should check if you can obtain them from easily accessible secrets, side quests or Rapport levels.
