Demon Beast Canyon is the first Tier 1 Abyssal Dungeon. This is one of the two Ancient Elveria dungeons in Lost Ark. On this page you will learn about the boss fights mechanics and how to complete the first dungeon.
Basic information
To enter Demon Beast Canyon, you need to reach 340 ilvl. If this is your first attempt at completing an Abyssal Dungeon, keep in mind that you cannot use basic healing potions, you must be part of a group to enter the dungeon and often you must know the mechanics of a level to be able to complete it.
First boss - Corrupted Vazuela
You have 5 minutes to defeat the first boss - after this time, Vazuela will switch to the berserker mode and will be much harder to eliminate. This boss uses area attacks: after jumping up, the boss will strike a random spot in the arena. The strike will be followed by a second long-range wave (but the safe area is also near the boss). The second common attack occurs when the boss rolls up and charges in one direction - this attack can easily be avoided by just observing the boss.
Occasionally, a crosshair may appear above the hero - the boss will then perform a special attack, which causes a bloodstain to appear in the target's location. When targeted, it is a good idea to run to the edge of the battlefield to avoid contaminating the center of the arena.
These attacks of Corrupted Vazuela cause some parts of the arena to be bloodstained. You do not want to expose yourself to them because they cause permanent damage like fire. If this is the case, it is a good idea to rally the group to a part of the arena that's not contaminated. To get rid of all stains, you can also reduce the boss's Stagger bar (purple, below health) to zero. This will make all stains disappear.
Second boss - Vile Scarkrill
Vile Scarkill is the second and final boss of this dungeon, but a much tougher one. This boss is a dynamic one, but most of his attacks are directed right ahead of him or are long-distance attacks targeted at designated spots of the arena. You shouldn't have much trouble at this stage, as long as you keep an eye on the enemy's movements and you handle skills with long recharge times carefully.
Enemy attacks can also result in round field appearing around the players. During the attacks, don't let anyone on your team go within the range of the field, as they will take damage.
After about 1-2 minutes of fighting, the second stage with the actual mechanics will begin. The edges of the screen will darken. At this point, 4 orbs will appear around the arena. Players should lure the boss to an orb in such a way that the boss destroys the orb after teleporting there, primarily in order to attack the players (he will perform a long-range rotational attack). You can also make the orb explode by destroying it yourself. If the boss is within the range of the explosion, the boss will also take damage. You only have about a minute to complete the mechanics - after that time, the boss performs a wipe (eliminates all players with one attack).
To perform this mechanic properly, you must lure the boss to the orbs four times in order to make each orb explode. For this reason, move around the arena as a group, in one direction.
Once you complete the orb task, there are no more surprises waiting for you until the end of the fight - just finish off your enemy preferably using High Stagger skills and grenades.
