Yadis | Difficult Fights in The Bard's Tale 4 The Bard's Tale 4 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 16 October 2018
Yadis is the final boss of Bard's Tale IV. He is extremely powerful. Although he does not have any shield, the sheer amount of health points makes this battle a difficult encounter.
Before you start the fight with Yadis, you will need to defeat his bodyguards, consisting of three practitioners and an archer. You need to start the fight, so that your party members will not be too weakened for the fight with Yadis himself. All of the bodyguards lack any armor, allowing you to attack them with any type of damage. But it may be better to leave physical damage skills to disturb spells casted by enemy practitioners. What is more, avoid moving characters that are under the bleeding status effect - you will prevent them from taking unnecessary damage.
After defeating the bodyguards, you will finally be facing Yadis himself. He has an enormous amount of health points, but he lacks any armor, making him vulnerable to any damage type. Yadis' summons are the biggest threat during this encounter. They have almost the same amount of health as the boss himself and they are capable of dealing huge damage each turn. They can quickly take out your entire team. Because of that, you need to eliminate them before they can fully materialize and this activity should be your top priority during the entire fight. The remaining action points - left from attacking Yadis' summons - should be used to attack the boss himself. This is definitely not the quickest way to deal with this boss, but it is the most reliable one.
